Van der Valk Resort Linstow

We went in a rented house for 3 days in Linstow. Half of the pool area was closed and half of the restaurants where closed as well for the evening buffet. We paid arond 1000 EUR for 4 persons and with no prior notice of that half of the establisment is shut down!

Really good beds, great location close to Autobahn, parking space just outside your house. A lot of buildings and many things to do. Much of the swimming area was under renovation, the things that were open was really fun though. They need to put more effort on cleaning and taking care of all the gardens and houses. Feels a bit worn down. Remember that you need to bring your own towels and soap etc.

Poolarea was only partially open, the outdoor pool was closed. The room was not properly cleaned and the staff was very rude and not smiling at all

Great Family Holidays We spent a few lovely days at Van der Valk Resort Linstow as a family with a small child, and we can highly recommend it. Even though the weather was rainy, we had a wonderful time. Our child especially enjoyed the petting zoo, the pool with a kids’ area, and the indoor playground. Between rain showers we went for some nice walks, which was really good for us. With better weather, we could have enjoyed even more highlights outdoors. The whole resort is well-maintained and family-oriented. The staff were friendly, the accommodation was clean and cozy, and the food options were varied – everything you need for a relaxing break. We’d love to come back!

Breakfast was great. Ok supermarket. Super bowling center. The holiday home was really nice with a lovely large garden. Suggestions for improvements = Better Take Away… current Take Away was really bad! We bought for EUR 93,- but had to throw it all in the trash and eat the bread and cold cuts we brought. There were too many wilted flowers on the tables - not worthy of a 4 star place.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was underwhelming. We were barely greeted by any staff and were simply handed a brochure along with directions to our accommodation—no further guidance or assistance was provided. At the bar in the water park, it took four employees to serve a single customer while the rest of us waited in line, with no initiative from staff to speed up the process or help efficiently. The same lack of service was evident in the restaurant. Despite plenty of staff walking past us, no one approached to explain how things worked. It wasn’t until we seated ourselves that someone finally acknowledged our presence. The buffet was another disappointment. Charging 30 euros per person is unacceptable when, by 18:15, many trays were already empty. When we asked staff if more food would be replenished, we were simply told to take what was left—no effort was made to restock. The accommodation itself was old and worn down. Dust and dirt were visible in many areas. The kitchen faucet had no water pressure, and despite staying for four days, we never once had warm water. The refrigerator light didn’t work, the living room walls showed clear signs of water damage, and the sofa was unbearably uncomfortable. Overall, the poor service and run-down facilities made for a very disappointing stay. We would not recommend this place.
