Iberostar Selection Eolia Djerba

My first impression of the hotel was it’s not professional as they did not receive my booking even though it was fully paid before arrival. I had to resend the confirmation email for them to retrieve my booking. The hotel looked unlively. The room was nice with good view. However they need to upgrade the mattress. Breakfast was very basic without much choice. We enjoyed the sea and indoor pool though.

What an amazing hotel. We paid a little extra for a junior suite looking over the sea and it was 100% worth it. The Hotel is spotless and the room cleaned daily to a high standard. Mini bar was filled each day with soft drinks. There was lots of staff around. Always busy and helping. The life guards were at the pools and beach even when no one was in them. We had no problem picking a sunbed around the pool and on the beach. The food was all fresh and the salads, bread and puddings were great. The only thing i struggled with a little is the vegetarian options (with meat dishes next to them. )A seperate vegetarian / Vegan section would have been a plus. They do cater for different allergies too. There is a microwave too to warm up your plate if you like your food hot like me. The dining area was spotless with the chef walking around to help. The Al a Carte unfortunately didn’t any choice or menus but we were happy with what we was served. In the Bars daytime are coffee and snacks. The entertainment team were fantastic always time to talk and make sure you were happy. Big Plus. The waiters in the bar were great too. Knew what we wanted before we sat down! We had a slight problem with the TV (not the hotels fault) and the assistant manager, forgive me if I get his name mixed up, Mr Issam?? was so kind and helpful and sorted it for us. Not every hotel offers this service. We saw him running around all day, sorting out his staff and helping guests. Hes not a manager who sits in a back office but one who you would want to run a hotel. Again Mr Issam, Thank you! The front reception staff were always helpful and spoke great English. The outside of the hotel had a small shop inside and one opposite. There wasn't really anywhere to walk to but taxis are so cheap you can visit anywhere on the island. A private half day tour for 2 of us with guide was less than £35! 5* from us we would highly recommend staying here in a sea view suite! For a beach hotel we will be back.

We spent 10 days in November 2024 (off-season so maybe not all comments are relevant) here are the positive and negative comments: Positive: - Friendly staff and always happy to help - Great and beautiful outside pool and beach - A lot of variety of food at the buffet and the chefs will always be there to recommend and help - The bars and drinks are always good and even for an all-inclusive you have great value, however, not a lot of choice (only one beer, one white, rosé, and red wine) - The animation team is great and will take time to speak to you and share moments! Negatives: - We paid an extra to have a sea-view room but it was mostly roof and the pool - The bed was really hard and even after asking the receptionist to change it, it wasn't better. Felt like sleeping on a rock, even if it's good for your back - We had a problem with the toilet flush that kept running, after multiple demands to the reception nothing change, we had to manually turn off the toilet flush. Overall we would recommend the hotel, you will have a great time and it's beautiful. However, don't pay an extra for a better room and don't shy to ask improvements to the reception!
