Yarra Valley Estate

The rooms are more like basic dormitory accommodation (Falcon) with corridors of squeaky floorboards to lead down to a communal kitchen. There is no mini fridge, jug, toaster or tv in the rooms. The mattress was very hard and sheets 'did not feel right'. There was no chair whatsoever in the room to avoid the bed. There was no cold water in our bathroom and no hot or cold water in the communal kitchen so couldn't even boil the jug in the evening. It was reported, next morning no cold water again so no shower and also no electricity. After two hours sleep due to hard bed, couldn't wait to get out of there. I suggest you bring plenty of drinking water, thermos, camp chair and a bed topper. Would rather sleep in the back of the car for nothing! They rely on water pumps and back up generator but systems need improving. Car parking is not close to the room for those with mobility issues.

The room was very comfortable and the facilities perfect for our needs. The environment is relaxing and refreshing. Looking out on nature through those big windows is healing. Louise was extremely welcoming. Thanks for a lovely weekend. Helen

The view was lovely from the room, the venue was fantastic. Very friendly staff really helpful and up beat. Some stairs would be good from the rooms to the venue as it was a little slippery due to the rain. Access to umbrella's was a bonus as we had forgotten ours.
