Daintree Wilderness Lodge

LOVED the tucked-away location in the rainforest. All the cabins were well spaced and private. The bathroom was really well appointed and despite being prepared to compromise on the hot water or the shower pressure it exceeded our expectations. The food was locally sourced, excellent quality and cooked by Jason to take into account individual preferences. The plunge pool was refreshing for a dip after a hot day in the rainforest. Sadly we didn't see a cassowary but the Night Walk which Jason organised for us with a well-informed naturalist was superb. The following day we followed the Nature Walk around the Wilderness Lodge grounds and spotted a Musky Rat-Kangaroo which was cute. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

When my partner initially said he had booked for us to stay at in the daintree in what he described as a cabin in the rainforest, being petrified of spiders and snakes I honestly thought this would be a living nightmare but it couldn’t have been further from reality. I was quite expecting to spend our time here not sleeping and fending off snakes from coming into our room however when the lady in reception said she had been there months and not seen one this put me at ease! 🐍 When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by a lovely member of staff who checked us in and talked to us about loads of recommendations of things to do in the area, we arrived late and missed the cut off for dinner but she arranged with the chef for us to have something to eat and then showed us to our room. The rooms have ample room, with a TV, fridge, tea and coffee facilities and an incredible bathroom with shower looking into the rainforest. The food was 10/10 - we ate here for both breakfast and dinner and were impressed with the quality of the food. There is WIFI - starlink in the reception / restaurant area which works quite well however signal else where is very hit and miss - we were more than happy with this wanting to switch off a bit. The owners are lovely, they make you feel so welcome and can’t actually do enough for you. We both came away saying how much more they could charge to stay here, it really is a hidden gem and a small piece of heaven. I am so glad we visited daintree and stayed here because it really did make the whole experience better. We will defiantly be back and I will recommend to everyone I know wanting a break away from the madness that life can be sometimes! Thank you for everything Fraser & Danny

A spectacular location deep in the Daintree Rainforest. Seven individual cabins spaced well apart provided a wonderful setting for our two night stay. A slight hiccup with our shower was quickly repaired by Jason and Lee who though out our stay were wonderful hosts. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was superb. Big thanks to Louis and Chloe. Overall a beautiful place and excellent service.

The experience from start to finish was incredible. Not only was the location within the Daintree absolutely incredible but the rooms (which were absolutely beautiful had the most comfortable beds), the food (the flavour and quality was absolutely fantastic) and the service (the staff were incredible, super friendly and knowledgeable about the area and always willing to go above and beyond for your stay) was amazing. I can’t wait to come back again and share this experience with friends and family

Loved staying in the rainforest it was so peaceful. Wifi was available at the lodge. The cabin and bedding were comfy. A lovely breakfast was included.Pity the kitchen was closed for dinner. My only suggestion being a coffee table for the verandah

Due to a booking error, we arrived here without a car for our 3 night stay. Fortunately, Lee and Jason went above and beyond to accommodate us. They helped us arrange a private tour of the area and also organized delicious meals for us. In fact, all staff are helpful and friendly. They made our stay at this beautiful, peaceful lodge an amazing one. We loved the private cabin with stunning rainforest views. Highly recommend!
