We stayed at the Hilawi camp on Oct 25. This was our first experience in the desert and we found that everyone was extremely friendly. Though this is not an authentic Beaudoin experience, we liked it as we wanted all the amenities around us, clean beds, water, toilet and sink. We loved the food, the roasted lamb was excellent! We lucked out as there was a huge crowd and there was good entertainment for the night. A group of Jordanian men, traditional dancers were there and performed their Dabke, I believe that they are of the Ma'an group. My sister and I enjoyed dancing with this group, the music was good and we really had so much fun. We really enjoyed our stay here at this camp. We also enjoyed the 4x4 trip seeing the Wadi Rum scenic spots and the red sand dunes.

Definitely a unique experience different than any other desert/Safari experiences, why: beacause your in Wadi RUM, (Moon Valley) is another name called in some of areas, sunshine sunset, Jeep trip into remote areas, high mount, colorful desert, enchanting and peaceful serenity and calmness. all this combination you can see in this trip, I was lucky to choose Hillawi camp, they are really respecting environment, calmness respect privacy and do not change in nature. again all this is added to their good hospitality and nice Bedouin food (Zarb) and so the camp atmosphere in general, thank you Omar Alkhatib & thank you Abdalla najada for you letting us to feel that if we are at home.

We came here with a tour group, and were disappointed at the state of the facilities. Of course the desert views are spectacular, but the "tents" were actually concrete structures with no air flow at all. We spent the evening roasting hot in the boxes (which registered 95 degrees F on our thermostat watch), only able to briefly fall asleep thanks to a fan in the room. The temperature and breeze outside was much more comfortable. The bathroom and beds were average, but the heat is what it made a bad experience. The dinner was traditional food, the drinks were crazy pricy, and the blaring Arabic music until midnight took away from the "nature/get away from it all" atmosphere that it could have had.

Beduine camp with tents on a desert - the tents were concrete blocks covered with piece of cloth, there were hundreds of them. On Friday evening, big busses bring locals for a huge disco with arab techno and Despacito. It's a folklore and if you stay there, you better see it this way. Otherwise you may be really pissed, when you here despacito over and over for a half of a night. Nice shisha though. The rooms are poor and bathrooms just terrible, I did not dare to shower.

We stayed overnight in this camp as a group tour, booking deluxe rooms in order to have a private bathroom. The facilities looked like shelter homes in a refugee camp! Both the bedroom and particularly the bathroom was dirty. The bedroom only has a bed and nothing more, the bathroom a shower no curtain or screen. No toiletries, a small mirror with a light bulb on it. No help with luggage, you are left to carry it across the sand. The only good point in this terrible experience was the traditional bedouin dinner, lamb cooked underground. Breakfast was pathetic, cheapest quality food possible. If you are travelling to Wadi Rum please do not stay at this camp.

Hillawy camp ou Rose sand camp est situé a cote de plusieurs autres camps dans le wadi rum. accueil basique 1( minutes avant de voir quelqu'un!! chambre sans confort, ventilateur anecdotique, pas d'eau chaude et attention au logement de base: sanitaires communs pas très propres Pour les repas rien de transcendant et on vous vend les boissons a la tête du client... un touriste européen paiera la bouteille d'eau de 600ml 1 dinar ou 1,50 dinar et son conjoint originaire d'afrique du nord paiera à,50 dinar petit déjeuner sans intérêt plusieurs personnes ont eu des troubles digestifs apres leur passage dans ce camp

Sand rose camp is unique desert experience adventure mixed with luxury services very tasty bedouin food (Zarb) and folklobeautifulre by the staff mixed with classic music free internet nice glass of bedouin tea around camp fire late night with aloud music one visit and over night is the best memory in #sand_rose_camp

Our Gate1 tour had lunch here after 4x4 safari and camel ride. Lunch was prepared in traditional Bedouin "underground" style and was delicious lamb and chicken served with potatoes and lots of mezze/salads. Clean bathrooms. Tents sleeping overnight available. Would be fun to return and spend a few nights. I believe daytime in the tents could become warm, so don't plan to sit inside reading-go outside or to the common area. Tents contain own private bath and shower. Friendly people.

We stayed here for one night - the "room" was very simple, the "bathroom" needed cleaning. It had air conditioning. The breakfast was very simple - some eggs, few vegetables. The dinner was very good - meat with potatoes prepared in the sand. And there was local music, with dancing from the local tourists. The next day we went for a 2 hour safari - very nice views, some stops for team, shopping fro Bedouins.....highly recommend it. I regret not waking up for the sunrise ...i understand is amazing.
