The service was excellent, a warm and friendly welcome. This is why I rate the hotel 3 stars instead of 1. The hotel is very expensive for such an old fashioned place. I have travelled a lot all over France (and the world!) and the room was more like 2 star than 3 in my opinion. It looks terrible from the outside and the rooms inside are not great. It is at the far end from the town centre, but still within walking distance. Electrical sockets: difficult to reach, under furniture and only at floor level. Hazardous in a 'family room'. I would not recommend staying here if you have children 3 or under. Furnishings: Very old fashioned and not enough chairs for all guests. A low table was placed right next to a large open double window when we arrived, this is really dangerous for children. Aircon: none. This was a problem because the windows open inwards and you can not keep them open and close the curtains at the same time, letting street light and noise in. Beds: comfy but one of the two beds smelled faintly of urine. Room: dirty floor, skirting and windows. Very old paintwork, in need of redecoration. Wonky pictures on the wall. No balcony. Bathroom/toilet: Clean but no extractor fan. Chairs: two frayed leather chairs provided in a four person room. Kettle: plugged in in the bathroom next to the sink! Refreshments: Two sachets of coffee provided in a 4 person room and no milk or fridge. Towels: Stiff but clean. Toiletries: shower gel and bar soap provided. Entry system: Worked fine, key card entry. Breakfast: 17 euros, but very good. Sadly, we would not visit again but appreciated the good customer service.
