We stayed at Whaleshark Beach Hotel for two nights to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience! Before our trip, I reached out to see if they could arrange something special since I would be with my husband the whole time, making it difficult to plan a surprise on my own. Lola was incredibly helpful in organizing everything, and on his birthday, we were delighted to find a beautifully decorated bed and an amazing birthday cake. My husband was so happy—thank you so much for making it special! The staff here were truly wonderful. Maydie and Manika at the front desk were always smiling and very helpful. In the restaurant, Babita, Sharmila, and Dipika provided fantastic service every time. Even the chef making eggs at breakfast was super friendly! Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We also took a full-day excursion, which was an absolute highlight. We got to see manta rays, dolphins, and even a turtle! The trip was so much fun and well-organized. Overall, we had an amazing stay here —from the friendly staff to the thoughtful birthday surprise and the incredible excursion. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dhigurah!

Whaleshark beach hotel was the perfect place for our trip to Dhigurah and the staff were all so amazing. We planned to get the ferry to Dhigurah but due to weather it was cancelled on the day. We called the hotel stressed about what to do and they managed to get us on a speedboat in a few hours time. We were then greeted at the port by hotel staff who helped us with our bags and on arrival at the hotel were given cold towels and a welcome drink which was delicious! First impressions couldn't have been better. Our room was so spacious with a huge bed, large balcony and the aircon was very new and so quiet but kept the room cold. Location is literally a 30 second walk from the bikini beach which was perfect. It was also great to wonder through the village from the hotel too. We ate at the hotel for dinner on a few nights of our stay and the food was incredible! The staff were all brilliant, really caring and helpful, we needed help figuring out how to get to the next island on our trip and they wrote down all the ferry times for us and also took us to the port on our last day and stayed with us until the ferry came, and then took our bags on board. I honestly couldn't recommend the hotel enough. Dhigurah is also amazing, sadly we lost a lot of time due to bad storms but the island is so beautiful and we would love to come back. We would 100% stay at Whaleshark Beach again. The only complaint we had is that we booked a snorkelling trip, but then had to pay $5 extra each for snorkels fins, and even life jackets! If you need all 3 that's suddenly an extra $30. I think things like this should be included in the excursion cost. Besides this the stay was perfect and I couldn't fault a thing.

We recently had a wonderful vacation at the Whaleshark Beach Hotel on Dhigurah Island Maldives. For sure this is a best guesthouse in whole Dhigurah Island, which provides a full resort experience at an affordable price. The room was spacious and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The staffs in the hotel were helpful, and they helped us with everything from arranging speedboat transfers for arriving and leaving the island, and they were supportive for booking excursions. We did two days' excursion (whaleshark safari and manta snorkelling), and the professionalism and safety measures were outstanding. The staffs were quite kind, friendly and considerate. The excursions were well planned and we always felt safe and had fun snorkeling. One of the highlights was the meals prepared by the top roof restaurant in the hotel. After having the dinner at the hotel's restaurant when we arrived in the first day, we ended up with having all dinners there. They provided a variety of cuisine all around the world (pasta, pizza, Asian style fried rice, burgers, sandwiches, curries, local maldives cuisine, tacos etc.), and the food was so delicious! Thank you again Chef :) ! All in all, we had a wonderful time in the Island. Many thanks again to all the staff working in the whaleshark beach hotel! We are absolutely happy with our choice! If you’re looking for a warm, local and family vibe of the Maldives, this is the place to experience it!

I just have to rave about Whaleshark Beach Hotel on Dhigurah Island! This place is seriously the best. Unlike other spots that just offer bed and breakfast, this hotel gives you a full resort experience without costing a fortune. As a coffee lover, I was in heaven. They have the best coffee on the island and even offer non-dairy milk! We chatted with the chef, who has worked at several 5-star resorts, and you can tell – the food is out of this world. This was our second time on Dhigurah, and after one meal at the hotel restaurant, we didn't eat anywhere else. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all there. The rooms are super comfy, and they offer complimentary water that’s even better than bottled, thanks to their 7-step filtration system. The staff is amazing – so polite and courteous. We did one excursion, and their professionalism and safety protocols blew us away. They had a tour guide and a lifeguard swimming with us the whole time. If you're going to Dhigurah, you have to stay at Whaleshark Beach Hotel. Trust me, you won't regret it! 🌟
