Dhigali Maldives - A Premium All-Inclusive Resort

We visited Dhigali 30th Dec for 9 nights. From the moment we stepped off of the seaplane the welcome was wonderful. The resort is lush and tropical. The staff are outstanding. Everyone without exception was welcoming, smiling and doing their best to deliver polite and friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble. This comes from the top down. The GM Chris Szabo is extremely personable and very visible. He makes the effort to visit each restaurant every day, is always walking around the resort, always saying hello and stopping for a chat. He’s the most affable and approachable GM we’ve met in the Maldives. All of the staff seemed happy in their environment. Many having worked there from when the resort first opened. Which speaks volumes. Kumar is a delight and such a gentleman, again, offering top service. Laamiu and Tiari (sorry if I’ve spelt that wrong) were amazing, very attentive, super friendly and hard working. Softy on reception is lovely. The guys at East Bar are efficient, friendly and offer great service. As does the lovely lady in the wonderful Haali Bar. Even when it rained the gentleman responsible for ensuring the beach area was clean at Haali Bar threw on a raincoat and kept raking the sand. The resort is spotless. We were in a water villa with a pool (room 711). It was in an ideal location for Haali Bar at sunset. I don’t think we’ll find a better sunset bar. The restaurants are great and it’s wonderful not to be limited to only one visit per stay etc. Thank you to all of the team for a wonderful stay and working so hard. We hope to return.

Just returned from our second trip to Dhigali and yet again we were not disappointed. The service you receive is first class, every single staff member are a credit to the resort. The general manager Chris is constantly around chatting to guests which was a great touch. We stayed in beach villa 314 and our room attendant was excellent, he kept the villa pristine. We dined at all the a la carte restaurants (Faru being our favourite) the executive chef Michele was amazingly helpful with changes to the menu. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him and always a smile and time for a chat despite his very busy schedule. I can’t thank everyone enough for their hospitality ( too many names to mention) we had a fantastic relaxing holiday and we most definitely will be back. If you’re still unsure of where to visit in the Maldives then make sure you visit Dhigali you won’t be disappointed.

Deciding which resort on which Atoll, in the Maldives, to go to can be a daunting and confusing experience. Fortunately for us, we had used Hummingbird Travel before, for our 12 days in Sri Lanka, which was close to perfection! So we asked them if they could help us with our trip to the Maldives. We are pretty experienced travelers, experienced enough to know, that when you don't know, it's best to ask someone who does! We knew there were about 172 resorts to choose from and many looked very appealing, but Hummingbird Travel narrowed it down to a couple they could recommend based on our wants and needs. Between the two we chose Dhigali. We are very happy we listened to Hummingbird!!! Dhigali is quite perfection. The staff is amazing! Friendly. helpful and kind. We spent 6 days there and longed for a few more days! The Dhigali team has created a friendly community feeling. Sunsets are for a gathering of visitors, on the western beach with drinks and appetizers brought to you in the sand as the magnificent Sun sets over the Indian Ocean. The nearby pizza shack, with a full on pizza oven, makes a great dinner pizza for a most relaxing evening. Alone time and privacy are uninterrupted. We were able to walk everywhere and snorkeled with a vast multitude of fish and corals everyday directly from our room! It just doesn't get better than this. The restaurants are exceptional and the breakfast buffet is perfection! We can highly recommend the Dhigali, you will not be disappointed! A special shout out to; Dombe, our room attendant! Great Experience with lovely beautiful environment and friendly staff especially Mr Zigey and all chefs at Faru Restaurant with great lunch meals, warm welcome n smiling face from Mr Muneer and Miss Tiari at Capers Restaurant. Great Experience on the Dolphin Trips with more than 50 dolphins sighted. What a great days!!!
