Condo #2608. We were there for a little over 2 months. Pots and pans looked like they came from a homeless encampment. We ended up buying our own. The pool was closed (we were not notified of this). They actually entered the condo without our permission while we were gone. I could go one……it’s just not worth it!!!

resort fairly close from airport. On the main strip with several beaches, attractions and restaurants. As well as Walmart, Target and Publics incase you have forgotten anything and or wish to stock up on food . Incheck in fairly easily with gargage attached. Stayed in 2 bedroom' 2 bath, kitchen and dinnibg room. The unit also had washer n dryer.

Stayed in a junior suite with a gulf view. The pool was amazing and the walk to the beach was easy but they have a shuttle that takes you over there. Lance the driver was awesome. stay there for seven days family of six ages 10 to 18. They love the pool lots of places in walking distance if you don’t want to rent a car.

Great pool and restaurant, poor unit. My daughter booked a family trip in unit 1905 that was anything but comfortable. This junior suite was dirty. Kitchen utensils, walls, and door handles were sticky, dirty or stained. The beds were so uncomfortable on the full bunks we had back aches and could not rest. There was no storage for clothing in the jr room with the exception of a small closet in what seemed more like a storage area than an actual bedroom suite. The closet was filled with construction and cleaning supplies. The other closet contained the washer and dryer. The shower had an overhead exposed light without a covering or dome. I am certain that it is a building code violation. The entire junior room lacked quality construction. The barn style door provides no sound barrier for a restful sleep. None of the furnishings were quality or durable enough for frequent use throughout the unit and the chairs on the balcony did not provide any relaxation either. The back of the chairs were low- non supporting and there were no loungers. I was extremely disappointed because at first glance the resort seemed like a very nice place. I was also upset that my daughter wasn’t getting the value for her money. She really plans great trips for our family and everything about this trip was great until we returned to our room to rest. I was going to complain however, after reading previous reviews while there, I realized that Compass is aware of the poor quality and they just don’t care. We travel to Destin often. I personally will not stay at The Palms again.

Very pleased with unit 11117. Very clean. Size was perfect for 7 people. Had everything we needed. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Food at the resort was wonderful. Fun evening at karaoke Saturday and Sunday. We drive to the public beach and Henderson beach which was simple. Highly recommend palms of Destin

Great resort. Everything you need. Even when cold out there's a heated pool. Had a great Thanksgiving meal. Just perfect. We'll managed. Beautiful grounds. Granbabies had so much fun. H8ghly recommend!

We stayed here for vacation. The grounds are wonderful. Check in was quick and easy. They actually had our room ready way before check in which was nice. The shuttle they offer is very nice. You can walk to the beach. Its about a 5-10 minute walk. The hotel is in a great area with alot of restaurants and things to do around it. Our room was very nice and clean. We would stay here again.

The condo 1309 had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke, in fact, it had smelled like it had been smoked in for years! It was so strong it was giving us headaches! After visiting the front desk multiple times, they did provide an air purifier, but the smell was still there. When I asked if they could move us to another condo, they said they were full. The lights keep flickering every time we would turn on the washer/dryer and oven. We brought these to the attention of compass resorts, and then follow through with getting back to us in a timely manner was less than appealing. The linens and the mattress in the master bedroom were worn out and needed to be replaced. The bed was super uncomfortable! The couch was stained and had rips in the upholstery. The dryer do not dry clothes. I would have to put a very small load on three times for our items to be dry. The baseboards were dirty, and in some places missing in the unit. We have stayed at the palms before, renting from a private party, and we had an amazing experience, however, I cannot say the same about this one. After spending nearly half our vacation trying to fix their problems, they only offered us a tiny refund! I would have expected more for all the problems of this unit! I would not recommend staying in this unit or renting a unit with compass resorts!

Our unit #2811 Our management company Real Joy lied to us. They overcharge us for so much and during phone calls they were pushing us to pay as fast as you can because it would be booked so fast. We paid for 2 Bedroom apartment and we got one bedroom junior suite. Our 2 children 9 and 11 yo had to sleep 10 by 10 feet space with no window and washer and dryer front of them. It could not be count as a bedroom. The bunker bed was very dirty between sheets and the edge of the bed, the stairs to the second floor of the bed were dirty. It was disgusting. The main disaster was the kitchen. They called it "Gourmet kitchen": appliances were run down , utensils were worn out, dirty with metal erosion. Tried to use oven cookware was the same dirty and overused. But oven by itself were producing so much smoke that the fire alarm went off. And i could not use oven anymore. The pans were very cheap and everything was burning on them. in 2 cabinets they were 6 pints of paint which is hazardous and dangerous, by law it is prohibited to keep in any apartment. The furniture was dusty and sofa and chair has many dirty spots. Some of the drawers were broken, and it was very small wardrobe space. The sheets and blanket in master bedroom were inside out and very poor quality. There were many different stains on the walls, doors especially the entry door. The building by itself it was run down and smelly with dirty carpets in the hallway. Try to avoid this place unit #2811 and to deal with the company Real Joy, they should change their name to Real Disaster!
