The worst hotel experience ever. Travelled with my 10 year old daughter and they gave us a room far from the actual main hotel. It was in some sister hotel, two hotels down and the room was up three sets of very steep steps which my daughter struggled with everyday so much so that we detested coming back to the hotel. We travelled with a group and Other people in the group were given lower ground floor rooms whilst we were given the highest. Wouldnt it make sense to check the guests ages and allocate a more suitable to a child guest rather than one that is a difficult walk from the main hotel and involves so many steep and large steps which are dangerous especially when it was raining heavily and we had to go up or come down. It meant we didnt want to leave the horrible room or go back up once we were down. The room was narrow and we both ended up getting hit by the tv on the wall constantly as the walkway was so narrow to get to the bathroom. The room stank of the bathroom. There was no chairs or sofa or table or anything like that to relax. There was simply a bed and bedsides and a dresser. There was also a wardrobe as soon as you walk into the room. But there was definitely room in the entrance to also have chairs to relax etc. The bed was crammed in and blocked the rest of the room so it was a struggle to get to the bathroom without being hit by the tv on the wall. Our new suitcases were filthy when laid on the floor as the floor was covered in dust and dirt. I understand it is a cave hotel and the bbb charm of it but still expected it to be clean. Once we returned to our room from our activites and found one of our suitcases was slashed near the pockets. We had left the room to the cleaners in the morning and found this on returning. We then put up a do not disturb sign after this incident as didnt want more items damaged. Cappadocia itself was amazing but this hotel experience ruined our holiday and my daughter hated it and she was so happy to finally end the holiday. I did not want to use the room shower so much that i booked a turkish hamam experience so i could use their facilities instead. Thats how bad it was and how much we wanted to avoid staying in the room. Coming onto the breakfast, it was the most basic and boring options. When we asked for fried eggs or omelttes or even somw juice, we were glared at by the ladies in the kitchen. They provided us one egg and said anymore would be extra charge. Same with the juices. Although they were available one day, the next day they were suddenly chargeable. They had chips pit for breakfast so my daughter had to just have chips as the one egg didnt fill her up and she left the breakfast hungry everyday. This was raised with the management and on the last day the ladies did begrudgingly provide more eggs although they made us wait half an hour in between each egg. I think they hoped we would give up waiting and leave. Absolutely ridiculous when breakfast is supposed to be included. H
