Nice room and clearly quite newly decorated/not been there long? Provided all that we would have expected in the room and more eg complimentary soft drinks as well as nice tea bags and coffee machine. My husband enjoyed the hot tub. I didn’t go in! Lots of room to put clothes etc. comfy bed. TV at end of bed but it didn’t lower. Not sure if mechanism broken or purposely not set up in case people played with it? We didn’t ask staff. Light and airy room as double aspect with big balcony and above the 2 suites on the ground floor. So no noise from other rooms which was bliss. I would recommend. Not cheap but I would prefer to pay a bit extra for comfort and cleanliness. (I have sometimes been disappointed and paid a lot!) So all in all a good experience.

We recently had a fantastic stay in one of the junior suites. Everything was perfect, and the Japanese hot tub was the icing on the cake. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Stables to friends and family and will certainly return again at some point.

The room is really lovely and the Japanese bath was nice for my boyfriend but with my health condition I couldn’t get in it because it’s not very accessible. The bath was also a bit overlooked but not too bad. Everyone we had interactions with were really lovely the staff are absolutely fantastic. Really accommodating helpful and kind. I do feel like the cost is overpriced though considering breakfast isn’t included in the cost of the room. We paid £460 for two nights which I do think is really steep. Like I say though the room is nice, it’s a big bed, air con because it gets pretty hot in there and everything was very clean. There’s also a little fridge with complimentary water, milk and coke which was incredibly welcome. I would stay again but only if there was an offer on, I think they do 25% off for midweek stays so we’d lean more towards doing that.

Fantastic place to stay! Thank you! We enjoyed every moment of our night stay here. The Bed was incredibly comfy, and all staff were really helpful and pleasant. We can’t wait to return. It was only a 5 minute walk into Ashbourne town centre but we stayed at the pub for food which was delicious!

Incredible stay! We stayed in the smaller room with the hot bath on the balcony which was so lovely and warm for our whole trip. The rooms were tidy and warm and the bed was so comfy. I would recommend to anyone, the rooms were incredible and the food next door was the best we have had.

Lovely hotel, rooms very clean and extras' - dressing gown, slippers, drinks a great touch. Hot tub was lovely and clean too and a relaxing touch, bathroom again was lovely clean, toiletries lovely and good quality. Would defintely return and recommend.

What a superb place to spend a romantic time together. The room was so clean, it was spotless. It had every thing we could possibly need. The hot tub was perfect! The hosts were amazing. Dinner in the pub next door was fab. We never made breakfast because the bed was so comfy we slept late. Absolutely loved our night away and will return in a heartbeat.

This was absolutely the BEST hotel we’ve ever stayed in. I’m so glad we added an extra night. We found this hotel online and took a gamble as we came from the states and have never seen it before. It exceeded every expectation. The hot tub was so relaxing after long days of walking around the countryside. Looking forward to our next stay!

We stopped her for a night away and had an amazing night, the room and hot tub/views was stunning. Extra touches for my birthday and hand written card, fridge with complimentary drinks, tea/coffee and even biscuits. Robes, slippers and plenty of towels provided, toiletries smelt lush. Room service was great and the food was unreal. We had dinner and breakfast from the pub and the staff are lovely. check in and check out was easy and free parking right outside your door. Will 100% return. Thank you so much.
