Stables Ashbourne

My wife & I stopped here on the way home after celebrating her birthday at the Malmaison in Manchester. The Stables absolutely knocked spots off the Manchester stay, hands down! We entered the Bowling Green pub to check in an hour early and enjoyed a drink in the bar whilst we waited. Amy and the staff were very attentive, keeping glasses full and providing snacks. They even had the room ready ahead of schedule allowing us to check-in early and enjoy the facilities. The room was excellent, superbly furbished with a lovely en-suite, all spotlessly clean. The staff had decorated the room with rose petals and balloons, on account of my wife’s birthday, which was a nice touch. There was a coffee machine, tea pot, fresh milk, the bed was super comfortable and the Japanese hot tub was a delight, especially as room service was on hand with pink champagne & chips! The attention to detail was immaculate. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. They really are steak aficionados. We would highly recommend the Stables.

Really nice place, clean modern rooms, enjoyed my 2 night stay, food in the pub attached was superb, the staff were friendly and exceptionally helpful. Forgot to collect my VAT Invoice for the room and left my evening meal invoice in the room, I rang the hotel and within a few short hours they had emailed both receipts, you don't get that kind of service everywhere, great place Great Food Great service, will definitely stay again.

Lovely room and great hot tub. Perfect Location for exploring the Derbyshire peaks and a short walk from the the pubs and restaurants of Ashbourne. Pub next door does great steaks too & the biggest full English I’ve ever seen. Need to go on a diet for a month now!
