The Coach House

We booked their most expensive Deluxe room for a special treat for a wedding we were attending locally. On arrival parking was a issue, if you have a large vehicle it would be extremely difficult to park between some posts they have got. Although understanding why they have them to stop people parking over other peoples spaces they are still not a suitable choice as we struggled to reverse between them in our allocated parking spot and even struggled driving out due to not wanting to hit them while turning the car and not wanting to hit the brick wall infront either. We struggled to find where we were to check in, no signs and there was a bit of a hectic function going on so we felt really confused. Once we did find where we were going a lovely lady greeted us and took us to our room I'm another building. We paid for early check in and late check which was ideal for us and the email updates were very good. First impressions of the room looked nice but once looking a bit more closer I was left feeling a little disappointed, when paying the price we just paid for their best room and early check in and late check out it was a rather expensive one night stay so I would expect everything to be absolutely perfect. Unfortunately there were makeup marks on the carpet which cud easily have been cleaned, a stained chair in my opinion should be removed at that price, dirty marks all over the white painted wall which needed a wipe, mould in both windows which needs removing, window sills not cleaned or dusted, dust over the large metal fan in the corner, filthy mirror in bathroom. What I will say I checked the bed sheets and pillows and they were impeccably clean and the towels. The toilet was clean, typical shower with a bit of black mould and a rust type stain on the tiles. The bed was very comfortable but pillows for us where a bit to soft as our heads literally were like flat on the bed they had sunk that much into the pillows. No noise (but we were the only ones staying there at the time) Had a good night sleep. Shower not the best idea to be open as even if your a couple any steam goes into bedroom which will add to any mould issues and also if one does anything rather smelly then it smells your entire bedroom out, the privacy isn't great as you need to also close the curtains of the window directly opposite the toilet. It's a shame because the room could be at an amazing standard but it's not quite been thought out and you can't charge your phones at your bedside as there's only 2 plugs completely on the opposite side of the room to the bed and no where to put your phones other than the floor while they are charging unless you've brought a extension lead. Breakfast, we were greeted by a lovely lady, very friendly and accomidating. Unfortunately we found once again the value for money was not there. The offerings from the continental didn't look appetising, just cereals that looked like they had been there a while and no pastrys. We had the

Such a warm welcome. A lovely place to stay. Very comfortable beds allowing a wonderful nights sleep. Delicious breakfasts. Friendly and personal service. I particularly liked Room 3 in the Main House. Would have no hesitation in recommending The Coach House to you.

We had a lovely room for just one night as we were at a wedding close by. We were thrilled with the standard and cleanliness of the room and were made to feel very welcome by Zoe. After a very comfortable night’s sleep we had a delicious breakfast. Thanks again Zoe for being so friendly and helpful.

We stayed at The Coach House for 2 nights before and after our sons wedding. We in the top floor of the stables. We had loads of space to get ready for the wedding - the room was perfect. Breakfast was fab . The staff were really helpful ( supplying forgotten toothpaste) . Although we taxied down to the venue ( The West Mill ) we walked back ! A perfect place to stay .

I arrived early and forgot to ask for a reserved parking space. I emailed the team to inquire about an early check in and parking and they replied back immediately and were extremely accommodating, considering they are not on site 24/7. My room was in the converted stable building and was delightful. The bathroom was clean and modern and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast in the main house was delicious and I highly recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs! I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary.

The first impression is wow, this is lovely. My room (6 in the adjacent stable block) was beautifully furnished and decorated - so imaginative! Wonderfully comfortable bed; smart bathroom; everything that you could possibly want; kind and helpful staff; and a marvellous breakfast! I was grateful that I was able to check out late so that I could get ready for a wedding at the West Mills without too much rush. I only wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the beautiful gardens.

What an amazing Guest House! Completely exceeded our expectations! The property is beautiful inside and out, we stayed in room 6 which was spacious for 2 adults and ur 13 year old daughter. The décor is lovely and of high quality . Fully stocked honesty mini bar in the room, Temple Spa toiletries. Room was immaculately clean and very comfortable. In the main house there is an honesty bar which was wonderful! The breakfast was stunning, quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, Vegan and Vegetarian options also. All the staff were very polite and attentive, I would definitely recommend this place, we cant wait to stay again!

They were so accommodating, as I wanted to arrive before official check in, let me do this, use the room early, park the car, etc. Really helpful, friendly, welcoming staff. Delicious breakfast. A beautiful, relaxing stay, thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anyone!! Oh, and I forgot to take the door code with me, and they seemed not to get annoyed (as I would) being phoned up at 10PM when I remembered and had to ask for it!!

The coach house were so accommodating from start to finish. I wanted to do have a day filled with fun, games, and nice drinks for my hen do, and when I woke with Zoe at the coach house, she couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful. We were able to decorate the area and bubbly was ready for the arrival of my friends and family. Kimberley and Holly put on a great cocktail making session to get things started and everyone loved it. We had the pizza and pudding platters for a late lunch and the food could not be faulted - it was delicious. All in all I could not recommend the Coach House more as a base for a hen do or birthday party or celebration. The space is great, the staff are wonderful, and the food and drinks are top quality!
