Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel

Stayed on the camp site for our first trip to the Donington Historic Festival this weekend. Went with low expectations based on previous comments but very happy camper. Loads of space, easy access to the circuit and a considerate camping community including pheasants, owls, wood pigeons and numerous hedgerow loving birds. We used the toilet blocks and camp kitchen, all clean and fit for purpose. Yes the planes are noisy, there’s an airport up the road….Ryan Air must fly through the night but take ear plugs and you’ll sleep through it. Would stay again for future events at Donington Park - great circuit.

I have given the rooms a four star rating, but i am being really picky. USB charging ports in the room sockets would have been advantageous as I had forgotten to bring a socket. The silicone around the shower was in a couple of places showing aging. that's all the negatives. On arrival the staff were very welcoming and efficient and accommodating. The heating in the room was just right and the bed was very comfortable. Nice to see the bathroom light had a motion sensor and came on when the door was opened. Shower was good. For dinner we ate elsewhere and again the staff gave excellent recommendations on local gastro pubs. Breakfast was superb. A special mention to Laura who was exceptional in her warmness and made us feel completely at home. Local knowledge of walks, as we had 2 dogs with us was much appreciated. A true asset to the business. Excellent value for money.

Excellent place to stay for the Super Bikes, But that was it. Poor expensive food, only had the choice of 6 meals, none of them for children. the planes only stop for a couple of hours, The main thing is the stupid ****** that bring the generators to a camp site, No one at the Hotel stopped this. We should have stayed until Sunday but had to leave Saturday just to get a good nights sleep. Take earplugs if you do stay. From one very annoyed camper

Really mixed review here! Well located, only a short walk to the circuit. Toilet block nearest the Donny gate was GRIM… floors had never seen a mop, bins were ‘open’ (no lid) and with no windows or air vent they smell. Showers however were crystal clean, although £1.50 for 5 mins is a rip off given the cost of camping! Had a hard standing pitch but there was no EHU on mine.

On behalf of my Wife and I, we would like to say a few words about this most amazing Wedding Venue. From the very first meeting to the breakfast at the very end of our amazing wedding, nothing was to much trouble and as any individuals arranging their big day - you worry, you fuss, you over think - no need what so ever. The wedding organisers have this, please believe me. At times things happen without you even blinking. I cant thank the staff enough for making our big day just perfect and I mean perfect in every way. Every single guest just loved the venue, and we were all made to feel so very special. Specail thanks to - every single member of staff at the venue, Slyvia @ Rustic Corner - book her she is just the best, Emily & Katy - superb photos, Christine Palethorpe on the Harp - sublime - Jackstar Disco - rocking & Marie @ Fruits of the florist - best flowers ever, fact ! It will always have a very specail place in our hearts as it was just the best day ever. If you are loooking for the most amazing place to get married - look no further. We were on the camp site, it's in a very convenient place next to donnington park, pretty much zero staff on sight about any info where stuff is, was not impressed that we had to pay for showers which only last for 5 minutes. Toilets weren't in the nicest of condition, alarm going off all the time. Pub right next to camp site where stuff was going on till midnight so struggled sleeping
