Rooms were filthy- dirt around corners of the room and bathroom floor, hair, makeup and food spills on the bedding, stains on the towels. A ROACH in the bathroom. The entire hotel smelled very badly and you could tell they had sprayed some sort of scented spray trying to cover it up. The elevator was in bad shape. It got stuck between 1st and 2nd floor, the emergency button and phone inside did not work when we tried. Luckily we were able to text a companion upstairs to alert staff and they got us out. We gave the room keys we had just gotten right back and left. We were there less than 30 minutes. I contacted Super 8 by Wyndham that evening by online message- no response a week later. I called them by phone today to let them know the state of their hotel and the man in Customer Care was defensive and told me to call ******* if I wanted a refund. I told him my purpose in calling was to let them know this location was not safe and they needed to give the running of it some attention and mostly, they owed better to the people staying there. HE HUNG UP ON ME. I will never stay in a Wyndham property again after going through what we did and now being treated like this. Do yourselves a service. Pay the extra $20 and go down the street 5 minutes to the Holiday Inn Express. 1000% better experience.
