Hotel y Apartamentos des Puig

Second time in this lovely little hotel and it was even better this time. We were a group of ten friends , mostly couples and all bikers. Rooms are so clean and newly renovated. I stayed in the junior suite with a large bathroom and shower was great. The view is amazing from the balcony. The owner is very helpful and made our four nights stay perfect. I also have to mention the breakfast. Wow. A lot of fresh fruits and charcuteries eggs and avocados. They also serve fresh orange juice, never had that on a 3star hotel before. Thank you Lucian and Irina for making our stay the best. We are coming back next year :)

we stayed here for one night but I must say it was a great find. it had a very original feeling with everything being very high quality. The room we had was large and everything was superb. a large balcony, good toilet and shower and overall we were left feeling like it was a quality room. Breakfast was also worth it. Not extravagant but it had a good selection of things you would want to eat rather than some of the buffets you might come across. all the fruit and vegetables were fresh and really squeezed orange juice and good coffee. Overall our stay was great, I think they have quality at the heart of what they offer and the pictures do not do the place justice. would recommend.

I tried to book an additional service for friends staying at the hotel. Reception was unhelpful and shouted and most unaccommodating. I was trying to book and pay for value added service. I understand it may not be possible but the manner of communication for a hotel of this apparent calibre is very poor.

This most lovely of hotels, in a perfect setting. This was our third stay here and it is always so lovely. The charm and tranquility of the Puig takes you to another place, far away from the noise and troubles of the world today. Lucian and the staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is really nice with an abundance of fresh fruit. The junior suites are very tastefully finished in Mallorcas style. This is a very peaceful place to be. It is perfect out of season, before the hordes invade Deia. Can’t wait to come back.

Stayed at this hotel with my family (including two babies aged 2 and 1 years old). We booked an apartment which was exactly as expected. Well equipt kitchen with everything you would expect. Five minutes from the centre of Deia and parking for residents which was fantastic. The noise from the apartments above was at times loud at times but we do usually have white noise on with the children so not a problem for us - if you are sensitive to noise you may wish to consider a hotel room instead (separate building from apartments) rather than the apartment. However, and for us this was the big but - Deia as gorgeous as it is doesn’t have much for small children. You could cover the whole town in one day. We knew this and booked this hotel which was advertised a heated swimming pool as we knew we would be able to entertain our kids by the pool most days even if the town was small. When we arrived we were told by the receptionist that the pool was no longer heated as the price of electric was too high. Later, we were told by the hotel owner that it was to do with hotels not being able to use electric to heat pools following the war in Ukraine. I’m not sure where the truth lies in between these reasons given and either way I sympathise entirely with both, but I do think the hotel shouldn’t be advertising a heated pool on their website if it’s a service they don’t provide. I’m sure they know that people will come under the duress that this is a service they offer as it’s currently advertised as such. The pool was quite literally freezing. My two year old referred to it as an ice bath throughout the entirety of our stay. No one with children under 10 could safely have their kids in a pool of that temperature for any prolonged time. This was during temperatures of 22 degrees. Even adults weren’t accessing the pool due to the temperature - I saw one adult access the pool the duration of our one week stay. My honest advice is, if you are travelling with kids and they don’t have the USP of having a heated pool then truthfully there are apartments just as nice in Valldemossa and Soller with a lot more to do to entertain your kids. Visit Deia for the day as public transport is excellent and this is what everyone else seems to do.

Recently stayed at the apartments which are just up the road from the hotel. The apartment we had as a family of four was spacious, modern and well equipped. The only thing it lacked was a terrace which would just have been perfect. We used the hotel pools every day which are lovely and well kept with absolutely stunning views of Deia all around. There are two great honesty bars which are well stocked with alcohol, soft drinks and bar snacks. We found these really handy. Overall the hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk into Deia down the hill. We ate at quite a few local restaurants including Nama, Sebastian, Italian Trattoria, Miro at La Residencia and Ca’s Patro March at Cala Deia. All were excellent. Deia is an absolutely beautiful town and we loved this hotel. We will definitely be returning.
