Loved the hotel being attached to the ****** and restaurants almost like a mall. Our room was right around the corner from the elevator and we never heard a sound. Beautiful indoor pool area and nice outside fire pit area. Easy two block walk to downtown Deadwood or just hop on the trolley. We had the little king suite with living room area which was perfect for a couple. The breakfast included had the usual hot items, cereals, bread and beverage choices. Staff were always friendly and helpful.

Perfect location, nice rooms, lovely staff, typical breakfast but enough to get you going in the morning. This hotel is a winner! We loved having the ****** and variety of restaurants just a few steps away. Parking is tricky but we always got a spot.

The room was really clean and laid out well. Didn’t like the aroma in the room from the pool, strong choline smell. But the pool looked great. Front desk was helpful with recommendations on restaurants and trolley instructions too. Parking is too, but understandable.

We were in a bind finding last-minute accommodations for our trip and had never stayed at a Marriott before. We were pleasantly surprised by how great this hotel was. Though it wasn't in the main thoroughfare, we ended up driving into town and paying for parking, despite paying for parking at hotel, too, we would stay here again. (I'm sure you can walk pretty easily to main part of town, but we were busy and the walk was really hot and unshaded.) The room was HUGE and very clean. The pool area was just as nice as everyone said and the hours were later than advertised, too. 10pm-midnight was a no kids allowed zone and it was perfect for relaxing after a long day of trail rides and hiking. Morning breakfast was pretty standard and dull, so we mostly just grabbed coffee and went on our way with some granola bars. Parking above ground was always available and felt safe to us. Don't know what some other reviewers were scared of. The room was quiet at night and the A/C worked. Doris, the manager at the front desk was super helpful and friendly to us and explained the pool, some local tips, and the trolley outside. She was great!

Would like to give 5 stars to the two front desk associates who checked us in, Doris and Tarynn who immediately welcome us when we walked in. They were super friendly and helpful in explaining parking, the casino/restaurants, pool/spa area, breakfast and things to do in Deadwood. The room was good size and had a comfortable bed/pillows. Plentiful parking. Location was close enough to downtown Deadwood that you can walk, or you can take the trolley that stops in front of hotel for $2.00 per person. Breakfast had several options.

The hotel was very nice, we really liked our room, and it was pretty quiet. The only disappointment was, they never told us they would charge for parking, only handed me a placard stating to put it on the dash. I thought that was a little deceptive, I was rather shocked when I got my bill. So just be aware of a $14 charge when you check out. Otherwise, it was was a good experience.

We expected more when we booked a family suite for several nights. The room was barely a standard Springhill two queen room. We did have a separate room with a tiny tiny almost rv sink you could use to barely wash your hands separate from the shower and sink/vanity area. Front desk staff were not as rude as our prior stay however attitude was predominantly stay here as you get it or just leave.

While vacationing in the Black Hills area of South Dakota, this was my favorite hotel. My room was large with a desk area. The shower pressure was wonderful after an six hour bike ride. I slept soundly in the comfortable bed! The lobby area offered a large selection of seating and tables for the hot buffet breakfast. Outdoor seating off the lobby was nice and a gas fire ring was going in the evening and the following morning. There are three restaurants on site, but we went downtown Deadwood on the free trolley that is offered by the City of Deadwood ($2.00 a ride downtown or $1.00 a ride if you purchase tokens). Afterwards, I would have preferred checking out the on-site restaurants. Highly recommend!
