Sankama the Boutique Hotel

I travel-led as a group of 4, with 2 adults and 2 kids. I paid for an extra bed too. As part of room service, 2 complementary bottles of 500 ml are provided. This is obviously not sufficient for a group of 4 for 24 hours. So i asked for 4 extra bottles of water. But i was denied and told only 2 bottles will be provided. I spoke to room service and reception and both gave same response. I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with such stubborn behaviour of the staff. They forget that a bottle of water costs only 15- mrp but a disappointed customer is going to cost them more than 15000- in the long run! such a short sighted staff and management.

This has been my preferred choice of stay while visiting davanagere. Is located in a good area. Rooms are good and well appointed. Reception staff has always been helpful and cooperative. Service has always been very prompt. Has a restaurant, food is tasty. Breakfast is really good with a nice spread. Has open parking with limited slots in front of the hotel and has quite a lot of parking space behind. Stay at the hotel has always been comfortable. Would definitely recommend sankama to folks visiting davanagere.

I have been a guest at the sankama hotel in davangere for the past five years. During this time, i have observed a steady decline in the quality of the hotel's rooms, including cleanliness, odor, and bedsheets. The quality of the food has also deteriorated, particularly the breakfast, which used to be a key reason for choosing sankama. During our recent visit we saw many cockroaches in the room. Despite these issues, the staff remains courteous and the location is very convenient. I hope that the management will take steps to restore the hotel to its former glory.
