It’s a good hotel to visit Datong , spacious rooms and is well situated, few minutes by Taxi to the ancient city, other hotels in the ancient city will be not so calm due to is always crowded. Breakfast is chinese style good to immerse Chinese culture We got a family room with my husband and son and is really spacious and confortable Good views from the window Staff of the hotel very kind, some speak english

Lovely hotel, very nice rooms and bathroom. The lady at the reception desk when we arrived on August 14, 2025 was exceptionally helpful and charming. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Met expectations and happy with the level of service provided. However location to old town is far but walkable to World mart and parkson.

Very nice hotel, convenient position to reach Datong old town. The room was very spacious, warm and extremely clean. Wide bathroom. Equipped with all the necessary items. Helpful and kind staff at reception counter. Excellent value for money. I recommend choosing this hotel for your trip to Datong.

If you have an early flight, this is the best location to stay. Free shuttle bus takes only 10 mins to reach Beijing Capital Airport. Several restaurants are within walking distance if you don't wish to eat in the hotel.

Hotel was quite and friendly

Location of the hotel is right at the heart of the city, within walking distance (~2 kms) to the Ancient City Wall, and about 20 minutes drive from the train station (Datongnan). The staff are very polite and courteous, and did allow us for an early check-in and a late check-out. 30 minutes drive to the Yungang Grotto, and about 90 minutes to the Hanging Temple (Xuankong Si). 5/5 recommend to anyone traveling to Datong.

Excellent. Done in the traditional hotel style but with very modern in-room amenities. Bathroom is clean and private, with nice shower including good quality—free flow—shampoo and bodywash, clean toilet and a proper door (no glass bathrooms here!). It’s so hard to find a hotel room like this these days. Most importantly, all the staff were totally amazing, and the manager is so friendly and keen to help and can speak some English which makes things all the easier. There are quite a few shaokao and noodle places around the hotel, and importantly, the snowman drink place (蜜雪冰城) is not too far away! The hotel is just a couple of Ks south of the most popular entrance to the amazing ancient wall (大同古城), and in the other direction, about five hundred metres to another nice park called Mingtan Park where I flew my new drone for the first time ever while a local man practiced perfectly his Taoist meditation completely undeterred by the annoying whirring sound of the drone! My only regret is not planning more than a single night here. There’s so much more to Datong than just the Yungang Grottoes and the Hengshan Hanging Temple (though they are both totally spectacular!), so stay a couple of nights at least if you can.

A nice hotel for a short trip in Datong

The hotel is really good and convenient. It's in a walking distance from the Ancient City and Walls, there are several small shops and local food stalls around it. The breakfast is completely Chinese style, but it's good. The gym is very small, in fact, not even a separate room, just very few machines, but it was not that important for us. Personnel are very helpful. Everyone did their best to make our stay comfortable. Especially, the manager Kristina - she is very kind, helpful, assisted us a lot, with some practical things and some advice, when it was necessary. Definitely, will stay here another time.
