All five stars, recommend the Japanese room

This inn has the vibes of a decent hotel room. Plus points are its great location, loft experience and long heritage. The interior decorations are full of description of its long history. The room is clean and well maintained.

Nice hotel in the city center, good position to see the local attractions and to take a taxi for going out of the city. Staff speaks a good English and we could pack a little breakfast before going out early in the morning. The room was clear, the hot water for the shower was a little difficult to set up.

Room was very nice, hotel is not the one in the picture, the hotel is around the corner but the rooms are the same. Bed was comfy and daily housekeeping. Free breakfast too and a warm welcome area

Great hotel with excellent, helpful, informative, English-speaking staff. Killer location in a quiet laneway just around the corner from all the action of the main food/shopping streets at the heart of the Ancient City. And the hotel is a beautiful space, very traditional and authentic. Hotel organised drivers for me to take me places outside Pingyao.

You have to stay here! Everything is perfect. Hotel is lovely. Staff are so welcoming and helpful. We had a problem and one staff member had excellent English and could solve our problem. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. Thank you again, I highly recommend your hotel.

The hotel is in a great location. The room was compact but comfortable, it was very clean! The service was great. Breakfast was nice. Excellent value  for money. Would stay again!

Clean with Great location. Staff is friendly and polite. Walking distance to most tourist spot. Tong le Lou hotpot near to huyan temple is within walking distance

We visited Datong during off season, so it felt like we had the whole hotel to ourselves! It was very cozy and comfortable.

Located in old town near to 鼓楼. Nice breakfast many helpful staffs. Hot water for bathing but needs good adjustment. Easily very hot or very cold. Convenient location. Recommend must eat at 隆聚祥

Hotel is in a great location in the old city, being in front of the Bell Tower and 2 minutes' walk from Huayan Monastery and 5 minutes from the Nine Dragon Wall. Being in a pedestrianized area means there is no traffic noise and is near many restaurants and shops. Rooms are nicely appointed and very clean with a hot and strong shower. The reception is very friendly and helpful and was organized a car and driver for me to visit both Yungang Grottos and Hanging Temple in a single day. The lady at the reception even lend me a winter hat as she feels I wasn't appropriately dressed for the cold weather. Will definitely stay again.

3rd time staying at Pipa Inn. Lovely place to stay if you are touring the city and nearby places. Great location and friendly staff.
