Taj Chia Kutir Resort & Spa Darjeeling

We stayed here for 5 nights with our daughters who are 13 and 16 year olds. Great resort for relaxation and great service. The flute player in the evening is amazing. House keeping is amazing. Very relaxing resort with great views. Only negative is that Food and drinks are very pricey. (900 rupees for a bowl of chips, 800 rupees for a small beer)

Truly memorable. Very helpful staff. Opportunities to taste local cuisine in breakfast and meals. Tea Testing a must. Enjoy the changing weather, clouds, sunshine, rains all within an hour. Did not get a chance to use the swimming pool. Umbrella was available to assist you during rains

Loved the hotel and the service. We were extremely well looked after and everyone went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. Special mention and thanks go to Bhaskar at the front office, sonam at the coffee shop and Dayan and Mukesh our guide and driver.

We had an excellent stay like always. The staff especially make sure that everything is perfect. Right from the time you arrive till the time you leave you are looked after like no other hotel. Hope to visit soon again. Special thanks to the F@B manager and all his staff. Thank you.

Very cosy and homely place .. good arrival experience, great service and location .. nature at its very best, Not too big but spacious.. sunrise view from the balcony of the room .. very friendly staff..no problem for senior citizens as great support for moving around

overall experience was good barring few issues with the room electricals. sometimes the ac and lights went out and had to call out the electrician to get it sorted. The overall food quality was good but the buffet breakfast and dinner lacked variety. I stayed there for 3 days and the buffet dinner was not a good option for vegetarians. the options were same with limited items.

The Taj experience is more than just a hotel or a resort experience. We could feel a difference, from checkin to dining to house keeping. Everyone working at Chia Kutir came across as humble and positive with a touch of thoughtfulness. So much so that while the property is a 10/10, the service experience is a 11/10. The special experiences (Mr Shiva Rai - highly accomplished flute player) tea tasting (Santokini? - who had all the patience to answer our detailed questions), Makaibari factory visit (Apil who with his most jovial personality gave us a very insightful tour) Raghav at the front desk ensured we had a comfortable checkin and awareness of the unique experiences at Taj Chia Kutir. Dipti (unsure of the name) at the Sonargaon helped us enjoy local delicacies by recommending a good selection. Ashutosh at the swimming pool and fitness area made sure we could maximise our time in the pool and ensured the facility was in top notch condition. Thanks again to all the staff, we hope to be back again.
