Chhota Hazari is a quaint little place nestled in Mim Tea Estate of Eastern Himalayas. The place is perfect for a quiet and peaceful vacation away from the city. Hosts Mary and Darshan went out of their way to ensure that our stay was both comfortable and enjoyable. Each room provides breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas. We especially enjoyed having breakfast with a view of the mountains. The rooms are impeccably maintained, offering both cleanliness and comfort. The colonial-inspired furniture and décor add a distinctive character to the property. However, it’s worth noting that the final 7 kilometers leading to the property can be quite challenging. The road conditions are poor, with the last stretch feeling almost like off-roading, making the approach to the property a bit strenuous. Nonetheless, the beauty and tranquility of Chhota Hazari make the journey worthwhile.

It was the most wonderful experience ever! Despite the approach being a bit rough and rugged, we were greated by Mary with warmth and comfort she and Darshan truly did a wonderful job and we truly felt like family. The food was amazing, the property mind-blowing. An experience to remember.

A wonderful escape in the midst of lush greenery in the mountains. A well appointed twin cottage setting that makes one feel one is at one’s personal bungalow. A perfect place to unwind and recharge batteries in a place that is calm and serene.

Words are too less to explain the awesome experience. Need to go there to experience the bliss. The best place to unwind and escape from the daily chaos. Even better than the usual Darjeeling and Ghoom. Recommended for all nature lovers and specially families.

This little gem is beautifully decorated and we felt like we went back in time. The staff, the service and the food were amazing! We went on a hike with our hotel activity guide down to the river through the villages and Mim tea plantation, it was just beautiful! We can’t say enough about this magical place! I would strongly recommend to use the Hotel car pick up service from the main road and arriving before sun down would also be a great idea! Enjoy, you would love it!!

Chhota Haazri in Darjeeling was nothing short of magical! The view of Kanchenjunga from the property was simply mesmerizing - it's etched in my memory forever. The majestic mountain range, the lush greenery… The staff service was top-notch! Chhota Haazri has given me a lifetime experience. If you're looking for a tranquil getaway with breathtaking views and warm hospitality, look no further! I highly recommend this hidden gem.

We stayed at the Chhota Haazri for 3 nights and 4 days and it was an amazing experience! The location is the biggest advantage of the property, with spectacular views of the whole Kanchenjunga range right from the bedrooms on a clear weather day! Nestled inside the serene tea gardens, the property will soothe your soul with its peaceful surroundings. The approach road to the property is a bumpy ride, but you’ll forget all about it the minute you set foot inside Chhota Haazri. The property itself is quaint and beautiful with its heritage charm and luxurious interiors. Another big plus is the hospitality of the staff who went all out to make sure we had a great time, by paying attention to every little detail. They will make you feel at home, serving you with a smile always. And to top it all is the food! The chef is an expert in all kinds of cuisine and will pamper you with whatever you want, from Bengali and Chinese to momos and local delights! Location-wise, proximity to touristy places like Darjeeling Mall Road, Tiger Hill and others is a big plus too!
