Aloft Dallas Downtown

The location was walking distance to the convention center. The room was clean and modern. They offered complimentary coffee and water every morning and had a very nice front desk staff.

Stayed her 2 nights, just opposite the bronze bulls! Room was nice and comfortable, easy parking. The only thing that turned me off was the amount of homeless across the road at the park and the homeless outreach people in the hotel car park. Homelessness in Dallas is huge unfortunately. Having said that, we didn’t get disturbed by anyone or asked for money. I did think the hotel would be downtown, but due to the homelessness, heat and restaurants being 20-30 minutes walk away we used Lyft for the trips to the restaurants. Overall, good location with a comfortable room and easy parking.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. During Memorial Day Weekend, my belongings were stolen from my room, and the hotel has yet to address the issue. The environment feels unsafe, and the staff seem untrustworthy. Do yourself a favor and do not book this hotel if you value your belongings.

I stayed with my son in the 2 Queen Beds Aloft Room for a night and paid 39,000 points, which apparently was a great bargain as the room was listed for over $1,000 a night. I'm not sure if there is any Aloft hotel room in the World worth $1,000 a night, and this one definitely was not. While the room was fine and a little larger than a standard Aloft room, our stay was marred by a few issues. First, housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:25 AM to see if they could clean the room, Second, housekeeping came back at 10 AM to see if they could clean the room. This was despite us requesting and receiving a 4 pm checkout due to my Platinum status. The third and most annoying issue is that there is a metal plate on the road in front of the hotel, so throughout the night and day, there is a loud clanging sound that disturbed our sleep. I understand that this is somewhat outside the hotel's control, but they could at least give guests earplugs and check in, and can complain to the city to have the road crew wedge the plate better so it isn't as noisy. Would I stay again? Definitely not at this price point. If it was a more reasonable $200 a night and they fixed the three issues above? I would definitely consider it.

Traveled to Dallas for my son's robotics competition being held at the convention center across the way. It was only a 4 minute walk to the competition from Aloft. This hotel is a little quirky. The room set up is different, but comfortable. Shower is awkward because there is no place to put your personal items. We got some decent snacks and drinks at the bar, but mostly ate at the Omni restaurants while going to the competition events. Overall, it was a pleasant enough stay.

This is a quirky hotel with limited amenities. I liked my room and the staff were pleasant and competent. The location is on the edge of a pretty sketchy part of downtown Dallas. There was generally one homeless person per block. I did not feel threatened, but if you are looking for a hotel in a pleasant neighborhood, look elsewhere.

Stayed for one night while in town on business at the federal building. The location is very convenient to the federal building and parking was simple, with validation through a QR code during check-in. The property has a really cool industrial aesthetic with exposed concrete and brick throughout. The room was large with modern and clean furniture and fixtures. The room floorplan was a bit odd with a large concrete column in the entrance, but it didn't affect the functionality of the room. I didn't have a chance to use the pool, gym, or bar, but there is a McDonald's within walking distance for breakfast. I'd definitely stay here again.

Seems to be aimed at students and younger people. No problems or issues but a bit too funky for me 😂. Positives - Location very good Swimming Pool Easy car parking Friendly staff Negatives - Charged a $1000 on our credit card as a security deposit, without telling us. Breakfast was a grab and go and very expensive Overall - Would probably stay here again.
