Exactly as pictured. (I have a Samsung so it will make colors pop a bit more, but the mountain views on a nice day are exactly as pictured! In fact, it looks better irl) Was greeted upon arriving by the homestay dog (his name is Huanxi). His son (the one in the cage) was there as well. Huanxi is a very calm dog but if you go up to pet him, he will accept pats. LOCATION: Other than a brutal 10 minute walk up a little hill, it's quite close to the West Gate side of Dali Ancient Town. ROOM: Very clean and everything looked brand new. My room was on the 2nd floor so the balcony is right outside my window. You can see mountains from the room (the view might not be the clearest from the room so I recommend going on the 2nd floor balcony or the 4th floor where the washing machine is). The 4th floor provides a 360 view of Dali's mountains and you can see Erhai from afar. FOOD: They provided a welcoming bowl of fresh watermelons (very sweet!) And Yunnan's specialty rose pastries. They also have Pu'er tea (Yunnan's specialty) in the room or you can request an afternoon tea. I only had breakfast once, but they provide either rice with side dishes or noodles every morning from 8 AM to 10 AM. You can message them on wechat in advance and they can even send the breakfast up to your room. The homestay employees were all super friendly and there is a painted map on the first floor of main tourist locations. If you speak Chinese, they will give you a thorough introduction of these tourist locations and how to get there. (If you speak English, they'll try their best with a translator app.)

My sister recommended this place, and it truly lived up to expectations. It’s a charming little 民宿 with friendly and efficient staff. Special thanks to the staff for their warm hospitality. The location is convenient—just a short walk to the Ancient Town. The two friendly dogs on the property added to the cozy, homey atmosphere. We also enjoyed the breakfast set, which was both tasty and satisfying. Overall, we give this place a solid 5-star rating.

We had a fantastic stay at the homestay, which is conveniently located just a short walk from Dali Old Town. The rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with a smart toilet, a comfortable shower, and all the essentials. We were warmly welcomed with a fruit platter. Breakfast was great — tasty and satisfying every morning. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering excellent recommendations throughout our stay. Plus, the adorable dog at the homestay made the experience even more delightful. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Stay Near Dali Old Town The location was perfect — just a short walk to Dali Old Town. The room was clean and cozy, with thoughtful amenities like a comfortable shower, a smart toilet with warm seat, and all the essentials provided. We were greeted with a welcome fruit platter and delicious flower cookies, and the breakfast was truly tasty. The staff were exceptionally friendly, offering great recommendations on places to visit and eat. We especially appreciated the tea tasting session where they introduced us to local tea leaves — a memorable and authentic experience!

Good homestay with very convinnent location, near the South Gate of the Dali Old Town, est. 6min by foot, but also away from the noises caused by the tourist. The front desk members are young, but very warmly hearted. They helped with me the trip planning in Dali and the following destinations. The room itself is very clean and with AI functions, a bit wooden Japanese style, with personally totally up to my design taste. All in all I enjoy my stay a lot, and will come here again, whenever I visit Dali again.

My stay here was amazing! I loved everything about this homestay. Truly one of the best experience. First the staff was super friendly, super helpful and kind. Even if I don’t speak Chinese, we were able to easily communicate through WeChat. The room was super clean and spacious. The view on the mountain is so beautiful. The breakfast, typical Chinese breakfast, is delicious. All the food was great. They made sure my stay here was great and it was perfect! If I come back to Dali, I will definitely come back her and I will highly recommend it to anyone coming to Dali. Also note that I am a solo traveler and I felt super safe. The location is also perfect, minutes away from the ancient Dali town.

The host was very nice to us and provided great hospitality! This is located in a convenient spot, close to the Dali Ancient City (walkable distance) but also distant enough to have nice air and away from the busy street noise. They provided recommendations and helped us booked a car to take us around the city and it was a last minute request! Plus, breakfast was yummy too! Highly recommend this stay!

This homestay is good value for money. Pretty close to dali ancient town about 10 mins walk . Room is clean and comfy . Breakfast although limited option but tastes good . Last but not least , really grateful to 哥 & 姐 who help find car for us when taxi are not available

We had made the right choice to stay in this homestay. Service were impeccable . Owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Making sure our stay were comfortable. The location were good. Just a short walk to old town. The room were new and modern. Equipped with all necessary amenities. Sweet dessert were served for supper and breakfast were delicious too.This is definitely a recommended homestay if you plan to visit Dali.

In all my years of solo traveling around China and other countries, I’ve never stayed at a homestay quite as enchanting as this one. The cleanliness isn’t just limited to the rooms, the entire place is spotless. The location is perfect for a first-time visit to Dali, just a five-minute walk from the ancient city. Since it’s outside the ancient city, it’s close enough to explore on foot while still allowing easy access to cabs. The amenities were excellent, featuring a Xiaomi smart room ecosystem made my stay even more comfortable. However, what truly stood out was the service. From the moment I arrived, the 三个帅哥 and 美女 running the homestay made me feel incredibly welcome. They offered me an upgrade to the best room available, took the time to propose an itinerary based on my stay duration, introduced me to the adorable homestay pets (two dogs and a cat), and warmly invited me to spend time with them whenever I wanted (a small but meaningful gesture when you’re far from home and solo traveling). Their hospitality extended beyond just conversations and recommendations. As the weather turned cold during my stay, they prepared ginger soup one evening for the guests, which seemed to me a very thoughtful touch. They also offer afternoon tea with waffles, fruit, and flower pastries until 5pm. I’m super grateful for their kindness and service, and I really hope to return in the future :)
