The hotel's architecture was mind-blowing, to stay in this kind of boutique hotel makes the experience of Dali ancient town much better especially when the town is busy. Guest services for international travellers was Ok can be better. Good Chinese breakfast and very good location! Recommend highly!

Excellent stay. Location is good inside 大理古城 and not noisy. Old structure but modernised furnishings. 服务非常好！ 整体的体验都超棒！ Only downside is that the two bedroom suite only has 1 small toilet/bathroom - otherwise a very comfortable stay

Charming Siheyuan Stay – A Memorable Experience in Dali We had the pleasure of staying at a beautifully preserved siheyuan – a traditional Chinese courtyard home – and it was truly a highlight of our trip. I was deeply impressed that the house, despite being 168 years old, is so well maintained and spotlessly clean. It’s a rare gem that blends history, comfort, and hospitality. The location is unbeatable – just a 5-minute walk into the vibrant Dali Ancient City. While the old city is lively and full of energy, the siheyuan remains quiet and peaceful at night, allowing us to rest well without any disturbance. A special thank you to the kind housekeeper lady who served us light snacks for afternoon tea and sweet traditional desserts in the evening. Her warm hospitality made our stay even more special. Highly recommended for those looking for an authentic and serene stay with easy access to Dali’s cultural heart!

Beautiful room in a restored courtyard. The staff was extremely kind and willing to help - they picked us up from the train station, provided good advice for places to eat, and organised transport for our ongoing journey at an excellent price. They even gave us fruits, yoghurts, and desserts at night. There’s a really cute cat roaming around the courtyard. The location is perfect, walking distance from the old town and the three pagodas. There’s a local food market around the corner in the morning. We couldn’t have asked for anything better! Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Tianxifu during our visit to Dali Yunnan. This special place is a desirable destination in and of itself. From its ancient architecture, beautiful and peaceful courtyard, the well-designed interior facilities and delicious breakfast, Tianxifu truly provided us the perfect place to relax and to enjoy its quiet environment.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. So beautiful! Amazing courtyard! Clean rooms and kind staff. They brought us a tray of food to our room at night, they cooked breakfast in the morning for us. They gave us delicious Dali treats as gifts. It’s close to everything we wanted to see and more … We couldn’t have asked for more. Just amazing!

The staff was super welcoming, the was a bit small but very charming and comfortable. Right next to the old town aswell so super convenient for visiting. However the cleaning staff was a bit loud in the morning and it was hard for our taxi to come right in front of the hôtel because of the narrow street

Wonderful old style courtyard hotel with just a few rooms. The staff are so helpful and attentive including the lovely cat who would visit and sit on our bed! As it’s a courtyard hotel it may be a little noisy during the early evening but we all slept well in the comfy beds with blackout curtains. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The service was incredibly friendly, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The accommodation was stunning—beautifully designed and in a fantastic location. We were lucky to receive a room upgrade, which made our experience even more special. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the food was delicious—every meal was a real treat. This place is truly perfect, and we can’t recommend it enough. We’ll definitely be back!

The family room is great for my family of 5 (2 adults and young children). I love the feel of the original old building and how modern amenities are fitted to make it a comfortable hotel. Most importantly, the service at the hotel was great — free train station send-off, nightly desert, laundry service and great advice on where to visit in Dali. The duty staff was always smiling during our stay.
