Wherever I travel, I always bring my own towel and a lightweight blanket—just in case. But at this hotel, I didn’t need them at all. The towels and bedding were impeccably clean and fresh, which was a pleasant surprise. While many nearby hotels have been remodeled in a European style, I chose this one because it retains a traditional Chinese atmosphere. That sense of cultural authenticity made my stay feel special and meaningful. Most of all, although I don’t speak Chinese, the front desk staff were incredibly devoted and helpful. They kindly assisted me in calling taxis and even recommended some excellent local restaurants. Their hospitality truly stood out. I originally planned to stay for just four nights before moving to another hotel. However, after experiencing the comfort and warmth of this place, I canceled all my other reservations and ended up staying here for nearly two weeks. That decision was one of the best I made during my trip. The breakfast is simple yet thoughtfully prepared, featuring dishes inspired by traditional Eastern herbal medicine. It’s not extravagant, but it’s wholesome and nourishing for the body. I’m writing this review for you—someone who may be considering this hotel. It is clean, safe, and filled with quiet charm. A very great hotel with good location & hospitality. The owner (the man) is very friendly, the foods they deserve was also delicious. The 2 young lady were very helpful, informative and warm. They even gave us a box of tea for free! Thanks Saijia! See you next time.

The property is well-maintained and clean. The toilet has bidet that can adjust the temperature 😆. This is plus for people who use bidet. They also provide separate towel for face and slippers together with other toiletries. The location is 5 stars plus. Easy to reach to Dali Ancient Town by walking. The most important thing is the service by the host. Totally the best. She always help me around and so helpful too. She offer you very great services and very friendly too. Totally recommend for who looking to stay near to Dali Ancient Town and for those want to feel great hospitality, this hotel able to do so. You will feel so welcoming here even though you are not local. Thank you again for the great hospitality☺️

Their enthusiasm and attentiveness were unparalleled! The culinary experience at Sajia was a highlight in itself. Each meal featured a diverse, flavorful selection of dishes prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We savored every bite! As a parting gesture, the thoughtful gift of Xiaguan Tuocha tea added a delightful touch, allowing us to carry a piece of Dali’s charm home. We were truly impressed by the harmony of culture and personalized care at Sajia Hotel. If you’re planning a visit to Dali, we cannot recommend this gem highly enough—it’s more than a stay, it’s an experience. Entrance of the hotel looks common, once you enter into the garden it was amazing. Love the garden view so much with 2 bedrooms within 1 unit. Enjoy the breakfast and close to heritage street. You shall try it and never regret.

The room is clean and tidy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Facilities and suppliers are up to date. Recommend.

Great location where car can stop right infront of the property and close to Guishan Park.

Lovely staff. Clean and comfortable room. Great location near cafes, restaurants, bars and attractions. Can use washing machine and clothes line. Simple Chinese breakfast included. They have a coffee machine also. Very little English spoken (same as the rest of Yunnan) but staff made sure to make me feel comfortable. Yunnan is a bit difficult as a westerner to travel due to the huge number of Chinese tourists and very few westerners (I saw a total of 4 in 2 weeks) so I found most placed were not interested in my business but this place stood out as one of the few places that really cared about their customers regardless of where they are from.

We had a great stay at this hotel. the room was very clean and tidy with a beautiful view. the location of the hotel is central but still in a not too crowded area. the staff was very kind and welcoming
