Old Storehouse Inn

Stay here! Just a block or so from the bustling square in Dahlonega, each room is unique and I hope to check them all out in the years to come. The host was awesome. We stayed in the Southern Comfort room. It was beautifully decorated, very comfortable & very clean. There's a nice little porch to enjoy coffee or a nightcap. The shower is an added bonus. It's rock and has multiple heads, a bench seat, totally wheelchair accessible, if needed.

Great location for walking around town. The Piano room was very cool. Everything was clean and we loved sitting on the porch overlooking the park across the street. The staff provided helpful information and a contactless check in. Would certainly stay there again.

Fairly noisy from the street despite not being high season. Very noisy inside due to very creaky steps, especially the last one at the top of the stairs. There’s a certain amount of charm with old flooring (which by the way was beautiful in the Mason room); however, within the room the entire floor made noise while walking across. There is a shared balcony on the front. While this sounds ok, it was kinda weird to have the person in the room next to us walk over & try our door! Also, this door has a window that is semi-tinted. However, when the other guest tried our door, I could clearly see him which means he could see me! We took the blanket & covered the door during our stay. Nicely decorated & great location! Need new windows & curtains in porch door for privacy!

My husband & I spent one night in the Southern Comfort room. This room has a great design. It has touches of old perfectly combined with modern. It had a lot of extra amenities which were appreciated-large umbrella, fridge with bottled water, throw blankets, coffee bar, & fireplace. On the surface the room seemed clean. However, the ceilings are very high & we noticed quite a few cobwebs on the ceilings and lights. There was also a lot of dust and debris under furniture, especially a corner chair. Our main concern with this room was privacy. If you are one that needs ANY privacy in the bathroom you should choose a different room. The barn door looked nice with the room, but as you’ll see from pictures there’s at least 4-6” on either side and the bottom that are wide open, and staring straight into the shower which is also open. You will have zero privacy in the bathroom. The window by the bed also has blinds that don’t completely cover the window. They leave about 6” open at the bottom of the window and the sides leave about 1/2” exposed. We propped a pillow at the bottom but there definitely needs to be a curtain that can be closed. I have a personal preference for white sheets and bedding. When sheets are patterned and colors it gives me the feeling it’s to hide stains (although I do believe these were clean). The bed was a little firm for our liking, but we were only staying one night so it wasn’t a huge issue. We enjoyed the location to the square and it was nice to walk to shops and restaurants in town.

I loved this historic inn in Dahlonega. It's across the street from a park, a block from town. I loved the history and the comfy bed! It's quaintly decorated. We stayed in the Mason room which was up an old rickety staircase (so not for those with walking issues).
