Battlefield Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I are frequent guests here at Battlefield. My daughter discovered it back in 2016 and her wedding was held here in 2017. It was beautiful and Debbie was the best. She helped in every way to make the day unforgettable. Florence made sure the grounds were spectacular. Both of them (the owners) worked so very hard behind the scenes. It was the perfect day. Fast forward--my daughter, son-in-law (and now their 2 children) come back every summer for their anniversary. (July) We come for a couple of days in January (our anniversary). We come to simply relax in this beautiful Inn. (Much needed R & R). You can't beat the staff here for being courteous and attending to everything you could ask for. We make it our home when we come and the lengths they go to with furnishing us with conveniences is just plain superior service. JD is fantastic as the host and again "spoils" us. The breakfasts are always first class and "gourmet". While on our stay this time Sallie made the most delicious breakfast called "Golden Buck", It was sunny side eggs over toast (my husband actually asked for a homemade waffle underneath ) with the most delicious sauce ever!!! Make sure you ask for it when you come. It was accompanied by their delicious breakfast potatoes, and a sausage patty. It started off with an Irish soda bread scone stuffed with blueberries and and fresh fruit on the side. The presentation, like always, is picture worthy. (sorry I didn't take any this year) Make sure you ask for it! We can't say enough about this place.

Such a welcoming group of individuals. Definitely everybody goes above and beyond for the guests. Very clean, bed was super comfy ...so much history to be learned in just that spot. Breakfast was so delicious also. They truly care for guests to have a comfortable stay. Good job to all

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast several weeks ago. Our accommodations were excellent as was the breakfast we enjoyed for the two mornings we were there. All of the staff were great. JD was a great host, Sally was a great chef and conversationalist, as was our second, professional chef whose name I cannot remember. However, the highlight of the stay were the history lessons presented by Professor Bradley Gottfried and Mr. Steve Gunlock. Both made full presentations, even after knowing that my wife and I were going to be the only audience members! Steve’s presentation display was the best privately owned display I have ever seen in my years studying the Civil War. Next visit, I hope to schedule a battlefield tour with Steve. I also encourage you to purchase Professor Gottfred’s book on Lincoln’s visit to Gettysburg. It is very good. Thank you again JD for hosting a wonderful stay! We will be back.

We love the Battlefield Inn. It’s a special place that we’ve visited many times. They care about service. They went out of their way to make a special breakfast and afternoon cookies for my vegan daughter. I always learn something new at the daily history lesson.

Wonderful B&B. Very private grounds. Beautiful, historic Civil War farmhouse and barn just outside Gettysburg. Close to the battlefield. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. The Tack Room was immaculate and charming. TV in guestrooms. Breakfast was fantastic! Fresh fruit, homemade banana bread, apple cinnamon muffin. Omelet or frittata with smoked bacon. Orange juice, coffee or tea.

This was such an amazing Gettysburg experience. . Everything was perfect from the accommodation’s, the friendly kind attentive staff, the scrumptious breakfasts, and the daily history lessons. Every detail was thought of thoroughly. I am on a gluten free low sodium diet and they made food especially for me including the daily cookies that were left for the guests. They went above and beyond with everything. My 2 pups felt like they were on vacation too. We look forward to our next stay.
