Hotel Arenas del Pacifico

I have stayed at this hotel many times and it has always provided me with excellent accomodation with a staff which always seem to anticipate what makes me feel welcome. When I stay here I do not feel like I am in a hotel...I feel like I am home with family. The hotel is always well kept and clean and I do not have a single suggestion for how they could improve anything.

This is a very basic, clean Mexican hotel. Little English is spoken here, but staff is friendly and very gracious. Beds are comfortable and rooms spotlessly clean. The breakfast was really very good. They had several options of traditional Mexican breakfast foods with wonderful table service most days and buffet style on one busy morning, but all the food was kept fresh. There is a small pool and a nice seating area around the pool. This is not a fancy place. We stayed also at the Villas Blanca, which is notably upscale and quite lovely, but I rated this place the same due to the overall quality for price and the attentiveness of staff. If you enjoy a more authentic Mexican experience and want to save a few bucks, this is a Greg option.

I have stayed at Hotel Arenas del Pacifico many times in the past 20 years and I usually stay for at least a month. This year my 2 adult sons joined me there for the first week and they shared my sense of satisfaction. I have always been greatly inpressed about how the hotel has maintained a high standard of maintaining the decor, cleanliness and general condition of the facility. But what i have always been most satisfied with is the friendliness and helpfulness of the entire staff. I feel like I am living with friends and family because that is the way I am treated there. They always go above and beyond what is normally expected in responding to, and even anticipating. my needs to enjoy a relaxing and fulfilling vacation.

A wonderful experience overall. The front desk personnel were professional, efficient and friendly. They even asked if we would like a small fridge in our room. Within 15 minutes, we had the fridge. The rooms, lobby, and pool area were always very clean. The included breakfast was excellent. There is a grocery store very near, and it was only about a 3-block walk to the town square. The maid service was good, and we always had what we needed.

Great location, wonderful staff, clean rooms, lobby, pool and dining area. Air conditioning worked great. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of plants and greenery. Easy and safe, three block walk to town center. Excellent dining close by. Will look forward to another stay in the future. 15 nights of quiet, comfortable vacation. Pictures accurately reflect the hotel. No ugly surprises or disappointments. Highly recommend!

We checked in for 3 days. Our reservation was a first floor room, 36 meters squared room, wheelchair accessible, with balcony. We received a dingy forth floor room, about 28 meters squared with no elevator. The room had 2 bath towels. We asked for a floor mat & hand towel for drying hands, they had none. There was a sewage smell from the shower as well as the sink. They were in separate rooms. Minimal plugs, one at the shared table between beds & another located beside tv (single receptacle) above head height & one by the sink. Our stay got old quick. After contacting our booking platform we magically received a floor mat & hand towels with a coffee maker. The toiletries we received were like sample packets. They offered us another room on the first floor but we would loose our balcony. The internet was the worst I’ve had at any hotel. We had to go to a coffee shop to send emails. If you could send an email you would have to stand in a hot open air 4th floor hallway, from the room it was undeliverable. There is a drying rack on balcony that looks like chicken wire strung side to side. As compensation we were offered breakfast. You had to wear a mask in the open air breakfast area while it was empty. After seeing the owner daily not wear one, we declined. I still don’t understand how so many good reviews were written. That was deciding factor for our stay.
