The large side screen porch is a wonderful respite for an early coffee, perfect lunch, and dinner spot on the picnic table with the barbecue right outside and a great place to nap and read, you will never want to leave! The outdoor shower with hot and cold water opens right onto the main bath perfect for a shower anytime and wonderful to wash off the sand from a day at the beach Walk, run or bike around the paved path in the park behind the cottage. The Blue Dolphin charming 1930 beach cottage.. It is a short walk (300 steps) to the Atlantic ocean. Sleeps 6 with 3 bedrooms plus an extra sleep sofa in living room which is a full pullout bed. Two shaded porches provide great outdoor space with picnic table . Central Heat and Air and, off-street parking is provided for 2 cars. The Summer House on the Island of Tybee is located in a quiet friendly neighborhood, within walking distance to almost everything on the island. The house is a circa 1925 home that has been lovingly restored to keep up with the times, but retains 'The Summer House' charm. The caretaker lives on the property in the lower level. There are three porches, a porch swing, an outdoor shower, a small yard and gardens to enjoy. Bicycles and pedestrians walk on the street, the market is a few doors away, the beach which is 1 1/2 blocks away is the most favored on the island. There are cabs to take you most anywhere else on the island. The house is bright and airy. It has 2 bedrooms. No. 1 has a queen bed. No. 2 has two bunk beds all twin sized and sleeps 4. There is one bath that has a tub/shower, there is an outdoor shower under the back stairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the conveniences of your own home, there is even a drawer full of spices for your use. Amenities include, TV, internet, an assortment of toys and games for beach and home. The home is centrally cooled with ceiling fans in each room, with the exception of the bunk room which has a portable fan. The is a wagon to take to the beach and a wheeled cart as well. There are toys for the beach, chairs, and an umbrella, for your enjoyment. I live in the house as well, in the first level. We share the driveway, laundry room and back patio. The open living, dining, and kitchen on the first floor offer a cozy gathering space. The screen porch out front fits perfectly into the idealistic summer at the beach. Outback the in-ground saltwater pool offers the perfect retreat from a day at the beach. Enjoy grilling and dining on the patio and sunbathing on the roof deck accessed by an outdoor spiral stair. In colder seasons you may choose the option to heat the pool. We have a propane pool heater that can be used for a $65 per day fee to heat the pool to 88 degrees when temperatures are 65 degrees or more. Fuel costs require a charge of $85per day during lower temperatures. Use of the solor cover when the pool is not being used is critical in helping keep these rates and maintaining the pool temperature. Please communicate in advance if you want to use this option as an additional payment will be needed. We only have our cottage available through VRBO and their partners.
