Explore tidepools along the water’s edge or take advantage of the world class striper fishing from the rocks . Eat lobster freshly pulled from the sea by local lobstermen. Go sailing to nearby Eagle Island or kayak the miles of peaceful Harpswell coastline. Curl up in front of the fireplace with a book and a glass of wine. Whatever you choose to do, it all comes back to the view. Crashing waves or perfect calm – the sea is a constant and ever changing presence at both Jaquish House and Number 14. The chefs kitchen features all new appliances as well as high efficiency washer and dryer. Bedrooms all have brand new mattresses and are furnished with luxury bedding and linens. JAQUISH HOUSE features one King sized Master suite with en suite bathroom featuring an oceanfront jacuzzi soaking tub. One Queen bedroom with ocean views, one Queen bedroom with 48" television and blu ray player, and one "bunk room" with 4 twin beds. Free wifi - high speed internet throughout. NUMBER 14 has one Queen bed, an ensuite bathroom with clawfoot tub and tiled shower, and a kitchenette with sink, stovetop, microwave and fridge.NUMBER 14 is available from May 1st to November 1st.***EVENTSJaquish Lane is perfectly set up to host small weddings, family reunions, or other special gatherings, and can be rented with the property next door - The Gills (vrbo 318909) which sleeps an additional 6 and The Red House (vrbo 1063510) which sleeps 4. The privacy of this air-conditioned cottage on the tidal shores of Cundy's Harbor in Harpswell is something you will treasure. Sit on the deck in the morning, just feet away from the shoreline, drinking coffee and watching the eagles fly overhead, deer in the woods, or boats come through the channel at high tide. Whether the water is high in Laurel Cove channel or completely drained out, there is always a beautiful view of nature. Swimming from the dock on the high tide or exploring the ocean floor at low tide, it is everchanging, bringing something new each day. Enjoy any meal of the day on the deck overlooking the water. Breakfast, lunch or dinner made in the full kitchen, getting take out from any of our local Harpswell or Brunswick restaurants, or grabbing some local lobsters and cooking them up! There will always be a table with a view. If you enjoy exploring, fill your days hiking some of the many Harpswell Heritage Trust hiking trails. Kayaking or canoeing right from your own private dock on the property, when the tide allows. Take a drive and see all that Harpswell has to offer from gift shops, restaurants, sailing excursions, free summer concerts, to candy and ice cream shops. Fun Fact: the town of Harpswell has 216 miles of coastline! That is a lot to explore. Feel like a break from the coast? Freeport's famous LL Bean and a variety of outlet stores are less than 30 minutes away. Brunswick, only 15 minutes away, is home to Maine State Music Theatre, Bowdoin College with its museums, as well as a thriving downtown area with shops and restaurants. We also have 4 local golf courses. At Laurel Shore you are allowed to bring one dog who is under 50lbs. Dogs require an additional pet/per day charge of $60 per day. Sorry, but we only allow dogs, no other pets. This includes a service dog. We recommend a car for your stay here in Harpswell, Laurel Shore is located 15 minutes from major grocery stores and the town of Brunswick. Completely renovated cottage within walking distance to beaches, restaurants and the most beautiful coastal vistas you could ask for. This cottage was originally a carriage house/garage for the Main house constructed by civil war artist Xanthus Smith so it comes with history yet it has been completely redone for todays more modern lifestyle. The view from the master bedroom deck towards the famous Cribstone bridge is breathtaking. You can take a walk to Cedar Beach, Garrison Cove beach or for a bit longer walk you can head to Mackerel Cove. So many options and such amazing coastal vistas to enjoy. There are boating charters available close by should you choose to head out into Casco Bay. You can also take a quick walk across the Cribstone Bridge and rent a kayak for the day. If you choose to run into town ( Brunswick) there are great options of things going on in town and on the Bowdoin campus. If you choose to travel you can head up the coast to Bath, Boothbay or all the way up to Acadia - or you can also head down toward Freeport for some outlet shopping or head down to Portland for all they have to offer there.
