Welcome to CC49 … This is now a 2nd & 3rd generation family retreat that is located in the Forest Lakes District just South of Traverse City, MI, on Rennie Lake. In 1949, our Grandparents/Parents won a Cadillac convertible in a church raffle, sold it and used the proceeds to develop this idyllic lakefront retreat. Many of the materials used in the original cabin construction (such as logs and river rock) were harvested right there on site. CC49 sits on ~1.7 acres directly on Rennie Lake which has no public access so it feels very quiet and private. And through the years, CC49 has expanded from its original and humble log cabin beginnings, to a very comfortable 3BR/3BA + loft lakefront home complete with WIFI , a smart TV with satellite options, an updated HVAC system and all new appliances for you to enjoy. And please note that subject to your careful use and quiet enjoyment, we include a pontoon boat and 2 kayaks ... all included ... at no added charge, as part of your CC49 experience. CC49 is a GREAT experience and our tremendous reviews speak for themselves ... come join us! :)CC49’s 3 private bedrooms have 1 king, 1 queen, and 2 bunkbeds (3 twin, 1 full) plus each has their own full bathroom. The bunkbeds and 3rd bath are situated in the "Garage Bunkhouse" though the bathroom here is closed during the winter months. The added "House Loft" overlooks the kitchen and living/dining rooms and has 2 twin beds up top … so seasonally, you could sleep up to 10 in total. There is also a small office for that work you may have brought with you. CC49’s full kitchen is complete with range, refrigerator, dishwasher & microwave … we also have a laundry room with a large/stacked washer & dryer. The living room and dining room have great access to our hand laid stone fireplace complete with a new insert for added heat in the colder seasons. This general family area also enjoys great views to the lake! The second bedroom includes full size bunk beds to accommodate various guests.The one story side of the cottage includes a full kitchen, dining area to seat 6, bedroom with queen bed and connected full bath. On the lower level, enjoy the convenience of onsite laundry and a game room. Game room includes Foozeball table and Smart TV (Bring your console), and features a futon for additional sleeping space or an air mattress if guests prefer. Exterior spaces include three patios, a BBQ, picnic table, and fire pit. Long Lake Township and Peninsula limits occupancy, so no guests may stay. We do not allow large/loud parties. Quiet hours observed after 10 PM. There is no boat parking, and guests may not use the Long Lake Peninsula boat launch per Township ordinance 178. Bringing small children? The cottage includes a pack n play and high chair as well as kids’ dishes and utensils. Need supplies? Target, Aldi, Meijer, and Wal-Mart are 12 minutes away. Need to bring Fido? No problem! Pet fee is $150 per stay, and we allow no more than two dogs. The yard and nearby park make it a very dog-friendly stay. Please let us know if you plan to bring well-behaved animals so we can roll out the red carpet for your four-legged companions. Guests will be responsible for any pet-related damage. Peninsula Living: Grab the kayaks and venture to the private boat launch/swim area to take in all Long Lake has to offer a short distance away. The kayaks can be walked down with supplied carts, but the kayaks also stack easily for transport in any truck or SUV, and most hatch backs. There is limited parking (room for 3 cars) at the launch. Enjoy swimming in the sandy bottom crystal clear lake. Wade right in with zero entry access. Kayak over to the nearby islands to camp or swim out to the swim platform and relax in the sun, or just sit on the dock and enjoy the lake breeze or take in the sunset. We’ve left beach chairs, floats, sand and water toys so that you can get right to enjoying the lake without running to the store. Additionally, there are two public beaches on the other side of the lake. There are 3 very capable adult/teen sized bikes for exploring the peninsula and surrounding areas.Just a stone’s throw away, enjoy Robert Doerr park!
