During warmer months, guests can enjoy awesome ATV trails, swimming, fishing, and boating in beautiful Akers Pond, as well as hiking trails and scenic views. In the winter, the area offers snowmobiling with direct access to trails, snowshoeing, skiing, and ice fishing on the pond. Fish include rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, perch, bluegill, and others. Milan state park is great for hiking, fishing, picnicking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and has a wonderful view of mountain ranges in VT, ME, and NH from the fire tower. LL Cotes is a great place to go shopping for almost anything you need, gas, groceries, outdoor clothing, fishing equipment, guns, kayaks, snowmobiling gear and local souvenirs. Colebrook NH has your nearest grocery store and a few destinations. Bring a cooler to keep your stuff cold. To get there you pass Dixville Notch state park.
