With 2 bedrooms each with their own bathroom, it is perfect for 2 couples or a family with children. Located in the tranquil neighborhood of Surfman's Walk, it is only a short bike ride or golf cart to East Beach or Shoals Club.Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch, ride to the market for coffee, and spend your days at the beach.We have a one year old so have outfitted the house to be well equipped for young families. Kid features: 2 pack and plays, a large walk in closet that fits one of the pack and plays for baby/toddlers to sleep in (completely dark with outlets for monitors), Dohm sound machines in both rooms, a high chair, and an inflatable bath tub. We also have seatbelts on the golf cart for extra safety while driving around. Additionally, if you would like help in securing a babysitter for some days or nights during your time on the island, we are happy to provide a few resources to find those. We always love having the option of an adults night out and there are tons of sweet high school + college girls on the island with their family during the summer who love to babysit. PETS: We do allow a maximum of one pet, no cats (dogs only) and must be small or medium size. Please note there will be a pet fee and pets are not allowed on the furniture. SHOALS CLUB ACCESS. Info for temporary membership will be sent after booking. We also provide a brand new 4 person golf cart. If you would like to rent an additional cart that can be done through Cary Cart Company on the island by visiting their website. There are bikes and beach chairs for you to use while you are there. In addition, we have books, puzzles, games, and everything you should need for the duration of your stay to make it the perfect getaway.Bikes: 5 Adult ** We DO NOT guarantee bikes, beach towels (please bring your own), beach umbrellas or beach gear. Note that sometimes bikes or beach gear has to be cycled out due to wear so these numbers could be different at different times. Welcome to "Not On Call", a charming 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage in Cape Fear Station, near East Beach. Sleeps 4-5. Located just 2 minutes by golf cart to the favored East Beach, and walking distance to the Turtle Conservancy, Mike's Bites, and the Commons Park. Our cottage was updated in 2020. Remodeled kitchen with quartz countertops, marble backsplash, new stove, and dishware. Bath and beach towels are provided. New interior paint and decor, new rugs and leather chaise. Dining table and master vanity with quartz countertops. We pride ourselves on keeping our home fresh, tidy, and clean. We do have a no pets and no smoking policy.The first floor has a bright entryway, a garage for the 4-seater golf cart, a bedroom with queen-sized bed, wall mounted television, and full bathroom with walk-in shower. The second floor contains the living room with a comfortable sofa, arm chair, and leather chaise, updated kitchen with new appliances, dining nook, and closet with full-sized washer/dryer. The third floor is a family suite with a teak queen bed and side tables, a twin over full bunk bed, large vanity, and a full bathroom with walk-in shower. Wall mounted television in first floor bedroom, as well as a large flat screen and Blu-Ray DVD player in the living room. Both televisions are smart TVs. There is a large movie library, as well as board games and puzzles.Beach chairs, and beach towels are provided. We have a few adult-sized bicycles that are kept outside and are available for your use. Please note the bicycles are in "as is" condition - guests are welcome to use them or, if they prefer, they can rent bicycles from one of the on-island shops. Guests have the option of purchasing a temporary guest membership to Bald Head Island Club, allowing guests to access pools, waterslides, golf, tennis, pickleball, croquet, and multiple restaurants and coffee bar. The pools are heated through the end of October and re-open in April. The Sumners Crescent community has a shared deck with benches for relaxing. There is also a charcoal grill at the cottage.BHI also offers historical tours, kayak rentals, bicycle rentals, guided fishing trips, turtle conservancy, nature trails, shopping, crabbing, etc. So much to enjoy, whether visiting in the midst of summer or in the off-season.We are also the owners of “Fish N’ Chips”, a larger 4 BR home just a few doors down - perfect if you are looking for a second home for friends or family. PLEASE NOTE- Hurricane Policy: If the local Government orders a mandatory evacuation for Bald Head Island AND you don’t stay at our home, you will receive a full refund for the nights the evacuation order is in place. This does not pertain to voluntary evacuations, a situation where travel insurance is certainly beneficial.If our home becomes uninhabitable for any reason (fire, wind, flood), and we need to cancel, you will receive a full refund for unused days of your stay. Please note that under North Carolina Law, Emotional Support Animals are not exempt from the no-pet policy.
