With renovation being finished in December 2019 , The Anchorage has been upgraded for the perfect holiday with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms whilst enjoying private parking for as many as 6 cars at the back plus well maintained large gardens with amazing views.Within this guests will find a large decking area with tables and chairs perfect for alfresco dining or simply enjoying a wine or coffee during the day. Along with a BBQ and a large Pizza Oven there is also a fire pit for the more adventurous plus a large covered patio when required. There is even an outside sink.Children can be kept amused with the outside play room and swings plus the large trampoline, making the cottage very family friendly.The garden has plenty of areas for guests to relax and a wide range of walks are available on the doorstep. There are 3 Kayaks (2 x singles and a double) that guests are welcome to use free of charge. It is such a wonderful sea loch to Kayak I really wish my Guests to try it. It's a 10 Meter walk to the sea!!(A waiver form is supplied)Being next to the water there is a wide choice of activities for everyone to enjoy including fishing, Kayaking or combing the pebble beach and the wildlife includes Porpoises, Gannets, Little Auks, Cormorants, the odd whale plus so much more. You can watch the deer on the hill from the garden or the many birds of prey.The cottage itself consists of a large sitting room with inbuilt bluetooth speakers and a large 50" smart tv coupled with a beautiful wood burning stove for those cosy nights. The large 6 seat dining table sits at the patio doors with amazing views of the loch and hills where guests can watch the wildlife as they dine.The modern kitchen has a large oven with grill and a 4 ring electric hob enabling guests to cook easily and with plenty of space. All cookware, plates and cutlery are provided plus a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, slow cooker and microwave. Everything is catered for. The washing machine is also located in the kitchen.A beautiful bathroom with a twin bath and overhead shower is also located downstairs.Upstairs leads to the 3 beautifully decorated bedrooms with 2 having double beds plus ensuite shower rooms. The 3rd bedroom is the twin room. All the bedrooms have amazing views plus a smart tv to watch your favourite films in bed.All towels and bedding will be provided and the cottage is equipped with all you need for your stay. Be it on the hot tub (outside) or just sitting on rattan sofa ( next to the sea) and a place in the decking area to enjoy your morning or evening tea, you will get the chance to enjoy the different colors of the nature.Other things to notePlease be wise with water, though we have enough water for your stay still we would like to remind you that the water supply is coming straight from the the water stream so with the seasons its flow also changes. Do not use the shower at the same time in multiple bathrooms that will help you from running out of water. Incase if it ran of than it will get filled however may take longer time than you expected. Scottish cycling trailsThere are miles and miles of cycling routes surrounding our cottages at Ardgartan Argyll. Cycle round lochs, through woods and on mountains. Enjoy long pleasurable trips, with a picnic or a pub stop, or take your mountain bike, up and down glens, with arduous climbs and sweeping descents.Family days outTake a day out to the elegant seaside resort of Helensburgh and visit The Hill House, a Charles Rennie Mackintosh masterpiece. For history of another kind, the kids will love the famous Inveraray Jail for a taste of life “inside” in the 19th Century and Inveraray Castle for an insight into Scotland’s clans and their colourful, often bloodthirsty, history.
