O7 Aloe Corralejo

We arrived day late evening around 9pm to a friendly welcome by Paul and another colleague on the desk. And went to our room aircon was off and room was red hot. Turning it on settling in some bits and went to grab food. Came back it became apparent air con wasn't working went to reception. Was told it should be working someone will be sent and to open a window go back to room to find windows bolted shut . Reception then say to open door came out and acted surprised aircon wasn't working. Maintsince came out unbolted window and brought a fan they told aircon to building was down and they were aware hidden by reception and put in a room with no aircon with a 2 year old bad start. Also side note the door wouldnt lock from inside so literally put a chair infront so id hear if it was opened . Had to contact jet 2 to get a room change the following day as reception completely unhelpful. New room had working aircon we were so relived after a awful night with my son we jumped to move we were also told they were opening another more recent refurbished part of the hotel tomorrow and we can move there the room after we were in we spotted lots that wasn't right general finish maintenance and cleaning wasn't great eg red mould on tile grout in bathroom, shower curtains kept falling down but we were moving so ..... but wait we come ti reception the following day to move and no they have delayed it a extra day so more false information. Day 3 we given keys to look at the new room it was the room from the advert ! Decent looked cleaned and a modern AC unit ok the side part of the hotel was closed over winter it was quieter part of the hotel which is fine. We agreed to move but then told we had to wait was it was ready we went out for the day came back moved things and then went back out came back air con didn't work. At this point we found out aircon was a themed problem for many ppl we could even see they had moved ppl into the first room with all windows wide open so unlikely fixed aircon first. They eventually put a lil portable aircon unit in our room which didn't really work well split on the hose so let hot airbags in and was incredibly noisy speaking to others they had the same. Moving on Pools as mentioned by others were not heated 19 degrees at early evening when they did chemical checks and much colder in the morning boy who turned 3 on holiday loves the water but was shaking after 30 mins in pool everytime bigger kids were ok as a adult i could adjust to it but not good for little ones. Food was a further disappointed its advertised as 2 restaurant 1 buffet and 1 Italian paid extra the Italian never opened and when question reception they said maybe in a week or 2 they didn't sound convincing at all. Buffet wasn't bad but basic id except more variety from a larger hotel but it was ok the issue was looking it as a whole across the week there was so little variety from lunch to dinner and 1 day to the next seeing the same things over and over a

I am astounded that individuals would give a five star review … we are fairly tolerant and resilient people. Our hotel room smells and the shower is dirty, mouldy, and has a broken shower door. We have spoken to reception and jet 2 yet both appear disinterested .. we don’t want anyone to experience this hotel. Hence the review mid holiday … we have the rest of our stay here and then we will chase more carefully in future. There are many lovely places to stay in the beautiful place of Correlejo … we have been visiting this beautiful place for twenty years. Please avoid 7Aloe when you are making your booking. They won’t care if you have a genuine issue

Really good for a lovely break in winter. Honestly don't hesitate to come here if you want a nice stay in large rooms on an all inc basis. Plenty pools and along with a secluded one which is excellent and peaceful. You will have to look for it but it's really good The food is excellent and varied. As I always say if you don't want to try fresh fish and Spanish food there plenty British style food. Something for everyone honestly. And if you're that fussy stay on a room only basis and goto burger king everyday. Well worth the visit. Staff very friendly and drinks always poured with a smile, with the exception of the female with the purple hair who seems to pour the drinks that bit short as if she is paying for them. All in all a great hotel. Daily and evening entertainment which was great. I thought there would be nothing on so it was a very pleasant surprise. Will come here again 100%. U can hire e scooters too right outside hotel. Beach not far.
