Amazing place in Cordes sur Ciel! Catheryn is very welcoming and professional. The place has a magic that few places on earth have. The city itself is gorgeous but the peace I experienced in Maison Bakea is unparalleled. Highly recommended.

A truly exceptional place to say with a very attentive host! Upon arrival she gave us a tour of the fascinating medieval property. There is an amazing living space which is open only during breakfast due to Covid concerns, but the spacious terrace leaves more than enough space to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast is wonderful, if light, and our host gave us great recommendations for restaurants in Cordes and Albi. The rooms are unique and comfortable with plenty of amenities, although there are limited plugs for charging devices. The property is right off the major street in Cordes so you’re close to all the shops, galleries, and restaurants. Would recommend for anyone, but especially medieval enthusiasts.

We had a wonderful two night stay. The host Marie leaves no stone unturned to make you feel at home with a wonderful tour of the house and fantastic service. Breakfast was great on the terrace with many of the items made in house. The villages in the area are spectacular and Marie gave great recommendations for where to visit and restaurants to eat at. We will definitely be back if traveling that way again.

What an incredible place to stay. This 13th century property has been lovingly restored by the owners and offers first class service and accommodation that it is a privilege to stay in. Breakfast on the terrace is an unforgettable experience.

Absolutely stunning building full of history - warm welcome from host who showed us round and recommended places to eat (this is a B&B - no evening meal) you can bring your own wine and drink on the terrace after dinner with superb views of the valley and countryside - really good breakfast on the terrace - we will definitely stay here again next time we are in Cordes

My wife and I were supposed to go Maison Bakea as part of our vacation this month. We were planned to go with another couple. The other couple backed out of the vacation at the last minute due to medical reasons. The day before we were supposed to arrive there we found out I was unable to rent a car without an international drivers license. When we called Maison Bakea she was rude and uncooperative. She told us that our problems were not her problems. She also told us that on Monday and Tuesdays everything was closed so that we would only obtain the room and the breakfast. We would be isolated without a car. Consequently a train was not an option. We were hoping she would have refunded our money since this was not clear when our room was booked. It was like she didn't want us to come out and for that reason we decided to stay in Toulouse. Of course she kept our money. Our hotel in Toulouse couldn't believe it and reported her to the Tour Agency on Toulouse. We were very disappointed.

Nous cherchions un château et à défaut nous n’avons pas été déçus. La maison BAKÉA a changé de propriétaire il y a 2 mois et la gérante est absolument charmante et se met en quatre pour vous être agréable au naturel. Certes ici pas de télé ni de sauna, ni de baignoire ni de chauffage ou de feu de cheminée au salon aux premières fraîcheurs d’automne. Alors propulsez-vous au moyen âge! Et en échange profitez de la vue depuis les chambres, les pièces médiévales et la terrasse. Et le soir venu vous pourrez profiter des jeux de société après vous être enroulés dans les plaids du divan au salon. Le petit déjeuner est une merveille! Tout est fait maison ou provient de fermes voisines, frais et délicieux. Il y a un chauffage d’appoint dans la chambre. Vous avez un petit chien? C’est 20€ la nuit. Et pour le diner Catherine vous prodiguera pléthore de conseils gastronomiques dans les environs. Profitez bien de ce village incroyable !

Aller à Bakea c’est faire un saut dans le temps et découvrir une maison magnifique, décorée avec énormément de goût, tout en ayant le confort moderne. L’accueil des propriétaires est chaleureux et ils nous parlent de leur maison et de l’époque médiévale avec passion et en connaisseurs avertis. J’ai adoré mon séjour à Bakea, le petit-déjeuner copieux et savoureux. Chambre exceptionnelle, environnement calme, lit confortable, prestations de qualité. Tout y est !!! Réservez les yeux fermés !

Ma compagne et moi raffolons de cette maison : l'accueil est charmant, extrèmement serviable, aux petits soins. La vue sur la vallée est un pur moment d'émerveillement quand la lumière tombe un peu. Les chambres (et sdb) sont impeccables, pas la moindre poussière ou araignée :) Et, bien sûr, le grand salon meublé et décoré d'époque (c'est à dire XIV et XVième siècle) est le point d'orgue du séjour. Un fond de Marin Marais pour démarrer le matin, et votre séjour à Cordes commence parfaitement.
