Kapetanios Aqua Resort

I braved it as a single mum to take me and my 12 year old son away. This place is absolutely perfect. The staff are amazing and friendly so welcoming from the cleaners, bar staff, hospitality staff and management. The life guards also the entertainment staff so encouraging and talented. The food as delicious and varied. This place is spotless. So so clean. We will definitely be visiting again thanks so much all at Kapetanis aqua resort you gave us such a lovely time. It was the recharge I needed as a busy working mummy. I felt safe and looks after. The jeep your Evis was perfect too. Also the massage wow!

Having spent this week (22 June onwards) at this resort, all inclusive, my first and main point to mention is - if you don't like yelling and screaming children around you all day, don't book this! The number of children seems to outnumber that of adults and there is no escaping it. The evening entertainment kicks off EVERY evening with children following the lead to Agadoo, Superman  Baby shark, The Okey Cokey and about 6 other kids club based  songs which by midweek you're tired of hearing. (And they use the same set of kids songs to do the pool aqua aerobics session) Same format every night and this happens in the same area where you eat your evening meal, at the same time. No option to have a quiet meal as a couple. The food was OK, nothing to shout about but my  main criticism is that the food temperature needs improvement. The overhead lamps aren't hot enough. That said, the hotel is in a very nice setting, a few steps from the shore though most of the beach area consists of large rocks and pebbles. (The better beaches are up North). Coral Bay however is a nice place to stroll and buses run regularly at €6.50 for the day to hop on and off to go to Paphos, which we did to see the town and its market which thankfully was under shade. It was far too hot to walk around much, being late 30s to 40 degrees in the sun. There's a 'strip' about 10 min walk from the hotel which has quite a few nice restaurants and gift shops. We had room 1712 in the hotel which was part of one of the apartment blocks. Sea view. Clean, with fridge and tea/coffee making facilities but the tea/coffee wasn't replaced daily as you'd expect so grab a few at breakfast or bring your own if you want a cuppa first thing or after the restaurant closes. The restaurant is more like a canteen really, no table cloths and the dishes available didn't blow us away. We've had much better quality evening food in other 'resorts' but the service with regard to clearing away used plates is second to none. Staff are very pleasant and very attentive. The aqua park is excellent for both toddlers and older kids, hence the high number in attendance. To summarize, nice hotel but avoid if you don't like the sound of children all day (and night).

I don’t think I can find one thing to fault.. pools were perfect, room was a perfect location, the waterpark was perfect too and the kids loved the slides. The food was so good! Always different options everyday and everything was full of flavour and truly catered for everyone. Shout out to Tony for his help with our luggage and grabbing us some sandwiches when we arrived late! Biggest shout out to the pool bar man too (Ramesh I think?) he was always happy smiling, nothing was too much trouble even after working long hours. Entertainment in the evenings was good, and aqua aerobics in the day time! Shout out to Jess and the team. We would definitely come back!
