SpringHill Suites Houston the Woodlands

I stayed for 8 nights and enjoyed each one. Great service, great breakfast, awesome shower head and great water pressure (underrated quality), and I was able to fill up on breakfast everyday. Also it was very quiet. Just comfortable in almost every way. May not be back to this particular SpringHill in my future travels but I will be looking for them in other places.

We have stayed at this hotel many times until the mattress began to be worn…they now replaced them and are more comfortable. Compared to several hotels in the area, they are higher but we like the area. HOWEVER, after placing our reservation, we were told that they now charge $10 a night for parking. This is a sly way to increase rates without having to post a higher rate. This hotel is not in an area short of parking. Very disappointed and the $10 a night parking will cost our business in the future.

The lobby was very clean, as well as the room. Our room was very spacious and nice. Loved the fluffy pillows. We had left a nearby local hotel because of a roach problem and we were so happy we found this nice, clean hotel! The staff was nice and the gym area was nice as well. They even have a pool and a splash pad area for kids. So cool!

Location is good, the hotel is in good shape. The staff is friendly but missing in some training. E.g., I notified front desk that in-room telephone did not work. They did nothing to correct the problem until I complained about 6 hours later. The young lady at the front desk had no idea how to log onto the internet and gave me bad information instead of putting me in touch with someone who knew what they were doing. I lost 30 minutes of my time and I had to figure out for myself that I had been given bad information. But here's the real kicker: The hotel is located in a large ***** mall parking lot. Wal-Mart, bank, restaurants, service stations, and many more. But if you want to park at the hotel instead of about 100 feet away in the ***** mall porking lot, they charge $10.00. This charge was not disclosed to me until I checked in. I do not deal with dishonest people and this will be my last stay. (By the way, I've probably spent about 300 nights and Springhill Suites, Fairfield Inn, and Courtyard properties. Dishonest has now lost Marriott a former loyal customer. And don't use the pool -- it was filthy.

Nice and decent hotel from the Marriott chain. Sort of hard to find, then again my navigation app was directing me all over the place. Staff was friendly and courteous. The room was satisfying. The fridge needed to be adjusted to almost maximum to cool down my bottled waters, and sports drink. Otherwise, the shower had good pressure, and the toilet flushed — I didn’t have to turn on water in the back of the toilet for water flow. Lol. Even though I didn’t take the offer the next morning, they do offer breakfast at the small restaurant in the hotel.

Hotel is very nice and clean. The reason we’re repeat visitors though is because we LOVE their bartender Jackie. She is a jewel and makes everyone feel like a friend. We will always stay at this location when we’re in the area because she’s made us feel like family!

I write this as I have checked into my room early. So far so good, my stay at the SpringHill Suites has been wonderful. Got off the plane for my meetings this week in Houston, picked up my rental, and all I want to do is get some rest from my red-eye in my hotel room. Don't look at emails, don't answer calls, just catch up on personal care to make sure I am ready for this week's challenges. And this muggy weather and pollen is killing me. Aaaaaand I am way early before my check-in time. Yet the Jeanne and hotel staff took care of me, and quickly got one of the rooms ready for me to crash at. And it's a great room. Everything looks exceptionally clean, fresh and feels brand new. I just finished breakfast and have put an auto-reply to my emails, and about to pass out. But the hotel has been top notch so far, and I felt they needed to hear it.

I am currently staying at this hotel for the weekend and felt compelled to write a review. For a local stay within Texas (since I live in Texas) the price is reasonable. However it doesn’t exempt you from the “you get what you pay for”. This hotel has a slight off putting smell when you walk in. Not sure why parking is $10/night when it’s an open lot and kind of away from things. The guy who checked us in was nice and overall the staff are pretty friendly. The hotel itself is a bit dumpy, feels old and the gym didn’t have all the free weight pairs - it almost looks like someone stole a couple. The house keeping didn’t clean the room today. The breakfast is terrible…all unhealthy junk and if you’re vegan, there’s no hope, except for the oat milk which was one thing I did appreciate. The crowd staying here are pretty rowdy and kids screaming in the pool till 11:00. Traffic noise on one side if you have a room facing the highway. There is no safe in the room. Air conditioning unit is loud as heck. The bed itself wasn’t bad but the sheets and blankets were like crepe paper. Anyway, it’s all good for the price and a couple nights, but I definitely won’t be staying here again. Paying a little more for a better hotel is probably worth it.
