Felix Hotels - Hotel la Coluccia

I had booked our two night stay at La Coluccia as a surprise for my partners birthday whilst touring around the north of the Island…and I’m so glad that I did! We arrived before the advised check in of 1500 to warm welcome from what I believe to have been the Hotel Manager and his two colleagues at the reception. We were swiftly offered a welcome drink in the bar/restaurant by the beach which was a nice little touch before being walked around the hotel’s grounds and finally to our room. The air con was on low as to be expected, and the room well presented for our arrival. I opted for the breakfast only option due to us wanting to explore what Santa Terresa di Gallura had to offer on the restaurant front. The breakfast was good, a good selection and plenty of staff on hand for anything else needed. The setting of the hotel is a 10 second walk from a small and well kept beach with beautifully clear waters. We made good use of the swimming pool whilst we stayed at La Coluccia as we had visited many beaches in the days leading up to our stay here - plenty of comfy loungers for guests and the pool was well kept and a good size. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the North of Sardinia, the staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful - they couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. The facilities were great for what we needed for two days of relaxation and quiet. Thank you to La Coluccia for a memorable stay!

Nice and cosy hotel with excellent service on a hidden spot of this beautiful island. Only 22 rooms, clean and comfortable, divided over several buildings. Service was very good. For example, we've got new towels in the evening if needed. Situated at the beach with overview of the Maddalena Archipel this is a hidden treasure. Made our holiday perfect.

La Coluccia is an exceptional boutique hotel setting in a lovely quiet area, with an extremely Beautiful view, through the trees, to the beach, the sea and onto the archipelago islands of La Maddalena. The sea is easy to access and fabulous for snorkelling and swimming. The room we stayed in was compact, large bed, which was comfortable, very cute lighting, nice little balcony with a side sea view onto trees and bushes, the bird song was nice. The bathroom is very spacious, big shower cubicle and contemporary and modern although in keeping with the hotel. All the staff are helpful and super efficient. Do book breakfast and dinner as the evening meal every night was exquisite and so very tasty, good choice of meat, fish and vegetarian. We hired a car, lots to do in the local area from market in the mountain to walk around Capo Testa to the archipelago islands, superb visit to NE Sardinia. Really lovely peaceful stay, will definitely return.

We spent eight wonderful days at La Coluccia Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. The location is simply breathtaking – quiet, right by the water, with panoramic views of the Maddalena Archipelago. The hotel's design struck a perfect balance: modern, yet beautifully integrated into the natural Sardinian landscape. The staff were consistently friendly, professional, and attentive – whether at check-in, on the beach, or in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety and fresh fruit. A highlight was the private beach area: crystal-clear water, very comfortable loungers, and a calm, exclusive atmosphere. Our room was tastefully furnished, very clean, and featured a small terrace with a sea view. Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked flawlessly. If you're looking for a place to unwind in style, surrounded by nature and comfort, La Coluccia is the perfect choice.

We arrived the first day that the hotel opened for the year, so we got a lot of attention from the staff. Beautiful property with a private beach. The front desk was extremely helpful in helping us deal with a situation with our car and the communication issues we were having not speaking Italian. They all gave it their immediate attention and helped us out tremendously. Filippo was extremely friendly and kind throughout our visit they made sure we had a wonderful time the three days we were there.

I am going to start this review by saying this is NOT a 5 star hotel. Maybe once upon a time it may have been but from my experience it definitely is not now. It is comfortably a 4. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, remote 4 star hotel this is for you. We had a lovely 2 night stay here but I wouldn't return as it did not offer the 5 star luxury service it promises. Good points- The welcome drink on arrival whilst we waited to check in was lovely down by the sea. The room was the best family room we have stayed in as it offered a king size bed, 2 singles and 2 bathrooms which was great for a family of 3 girls. It was also very clean. Most of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The beach bags for use was a lovely touch. The childrens menu in the restaurant was great for our little ones, especially our youngest who has a milk allergy. The allergens were clearly shown. Bad points- The hotel is very run down in parts, especially the pool area. There is no food or drink service around the pool. There is no valet to greet you when you arrive and you can't get your car close to the hotel so it's confusing as to where to park when you first arrive. The lifeguard was never around the pool and preferred walking around talking on his mobile. There is no atmosphere in the hotel, with no music playing. The evening drinks in the lobby before dinner felt very dull. There is a grand piano in the bar area but no signs of any use. The breakfast buffet was very basic continental. Only 3 pots of warm food, sausages, scrambled eggs and green beans or peas. Other eggs or warm food options were not offered. There was no oranges dor orange juice on our final day they had run out. At dinner my husband was reviewing the wine menu, it was removed and given to another couple and not given back. The Pool is not heated and was very cold. Towards the afternoon the pool is in the shade so you'd expect it to be heated a little. There were not enough sun beds, my husband had to sit at a table. No bed was offered by the staff. This hotel is not set up for kids, there isn't much to keep them entertained and the quiet atmosphere around the pool did not allow for them to play or have any fun. The hotel is mainly occupied by older couples and this is definitely the vibe it was giving off.
