Logis Hotel du Chateau

We stayed as a couple for three nights and we had booked a room with a 180cm width bed (Superking size) as that is what we are used to at home. So when we arrived at our room (14) on what was a beautiful sunny day, we noticed that the bed was a queen size, 5ft not 6ft and it was very dark inside the room despite the sunshine outside. This was because we were alongside a road where there were tall trees opposite. We had to switch the lights on even though it was a beautiful sunny day in early July! We spoke to the lady on reception about the size of the bed who argued that it was a 6 foot width and also said there were no other rooms available so we remained put. The towels were thin and old looking and no soap was provided. The shower was over the bath. A note on the bathroom wall asked that if possible guests did not request clean towels ‘to save the environment’However the towels were so thin they got quite damp from just having a shower and there was no way of drying them since the towel rail in the bathroom was plumbed in and was switched off. So we requested clean towels each day. After seeing the prices being charged for dinner we decided to go elsewhere. The L’Angevine restaurant just a short walk on the other side of the lake was perfect. Breakfast was a standard continental choice but the coffee was from a machine so not ‘fresh’ and the hot water from the same machine if you wanted to make tea, was not very hot. We won’t be staying here again.

Un bon week-end avec une wonderbox. Le personnel agreable et accueillant avec une chambre propre est spacieuse. Repas du soir parfait. Dommage pas de café ni de thé dans la chambre. Petit déjeuner simple mais complet. Bel endroit à refaire.

Personnel et patrons accueillants et pros. La chambre (pour deux nuits) est très correcte pour un hôtel de province « profonde » (sans rien de péjoratif). Nous avons dormi au calme, le petit déjeuner a été bon et copieux. Que demander de mieux ? Peut-être que la restauration soit à la hauteur de l’hôtellerie…

Hôtel sympathique . Tout d’abord, facilité de parking sur la place , et/ou dans la cour ( mais il faut viser juste!). L’accueil est avenant et professionnel. Les chambres sont correctes mais nécessiteraient quelques aménagements ( pas de distributeur de papier dans les toilettes par exemple). Quant au restaurant, il est agréable et le serveur très sympathique. La nourriture y est bonne et bien dressée. En résumé, un séjour agréable, sans prétention

Charmant petit hôtel restaurant idéalement situé au cœur de Combourg, à deux pas du château et du lac tranquille. Chambre très confortable, très bon restaurant avec jolie vue sur la place Chateaubriand et personnel très sympthique.

Descendu pour une soirée étape, l’hôtel est facile d’accès, l’accueil est bien. Cependant les prestations pour une soirée étape à 115€ sont trop justes: pas de plateau de courtoisie en chambre. Le petit déjeuner est correct mais encore une fois pas à la hauteur du prix … c’est moyen donc
