Used to be a great hotel now specifically for the Germans, food quality is not good English night the meat pie was a slice of sausage with gravy Very diagratory to the BRITISH no pie crust to be seen also mash potato and tuna pie never had that in the UK think the so called chef needs to be re-trained as to the food of various countries.not good at all.

3rd time staying here and unfortunately this will be the last. The hotel is in a great location and most ( not all ) of the staff are very polite and helpful. The general state of the hotel / standards / cleanliness of the hotel / Quality of food has seriously gone down The rooms even though they were updated a few years ago are now very tired and worn again. Also paper thin walls ( you can literaly hear EVERYTHING your neighbours are doing!!! ). The state of the bathroom was poor - see pics - Towels looked about 20 years old and had holes in them - Had to ring down to reception several times and toiletries/toilet rolls hadn't been replenished. To keep its 3 starts it really needs to put work in as at the moment it should be a 2 star at best.

Had a fantastic holiday here back in November. Despite some negative reviews, we found it to be very clean, friendly staff, our room was lovely, good food (although the buffet wasn’t always very hot, but good all the same) the poolside bar and Don Miguel à la carte restaurant were great, and the SPA was wonderful. So good in fact, we’ve just booked another holiday there at the end of April .

Booked for a bit of cheap winter sun, for us, the hotel ticked all the boxes. We actually thought the food was good for this sort of holiday (they really made an effort on Valentines Day with the menu and theme), especially the fresh cook area. However, they dont appear to reset the tables once people have left, but that wasn't an issue for us. We found the staff polite and efficient rather than overly friendly, unlike some of the other reviews who claimed they were rude. We were only half board, and drinks/ ice cream were very reasonably priced. The location is great, 15 minutes walk to the Kasbah, Yumbo centre and beach. There is a free beach bus from the hotel that takes you as well, but be warned, it's over an hours walk back as it's on the other side of the sandunes. The highlight for us was the spa that was free to guests and very reasonable with their prices for treatments (the staff in here were really nice). The negatives. The hotel has an 'older' clientele, and many of the guests used a walking aid. It was also, I'd say, 90% German or Dutch. None of this was an issue for us, except during breakfast/dinner, the concept of queuing, touching, or coughing in the vicinity of the food seemed alien to them. The hotels entertainment is geared towards the above, but there is plenty to do outside of the complex if you are not all inclusive. I used the gym every day, and despite signs in the rooms saying shoes to be worn, no one ever checked, and it was sometimes busy with people just in pool wear. On a few occasions, there were also guests letting their small children use the machines. Lastly, the pools. We came early February, and it wasn't full. There is a real issue with that age-old problem of people reserving beds with towels and the hotel not doing anything about it. So be aware if you are coming later in the year when it's busier. So, in summary, 3 stars for the food/hotel/service, but 4 stars mainly for the spa and its lovely ladies who worked there.

Lovely hotel... Nice staff.. rooms spacious and clean... Food good choice.. Entrainment not so good.. Could do with some music around the pool... Nice bar just around the corner from hotel called als bar great live music friendly and reasonable Would stay here again

Brilliant hotel very clean and staff all welcoming. Room was spacious with everything we needed. Breakfast plenty of choice so had a different breakfast every morning. Evening meal buffet service and yet again plenty of choice, every night couldn’t decide what to have, there is even a carvery every night and all delicious food. Very big pool area with lots of sunbeds even sunbeds away from the pool area. No need to mention the downstairs spa as I’ve didn’t use it but sure plenty of people did. Definitely recommend this hotel .
