The room decor and finishings are outdated. Cleanliness is an issue as the carpets were not vacuumed. I spotted the last occupant's remnants. However the staff are polite and friendly. There is a mall opposite the hotel with some shopping and limited food options.

Good location near the beach and almost in the center of Colombo, the rooms are a clean but there was a night where was a bad smell coming out of the AC or something, the food is great, the service is also great, In the restaurant I could pay with my chinese card, but in the reception I couldn't, don't know why Thank you Mandarina

The hotel is nice, a bit tired. Roof top pool is nice, but it is better to clean all glass for perfect photos. Convenient room. Friendly stuff. Can recommend. I didn’t use restaurant

Great rooftop pool, even with construction happening in the view. The food was good, but we were surprised to find out that it was a dry hotel - no alcohol. Should be said in the listing. We loved the location and the room was very nice.

Had a tremendous wonderful stay here, the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was so comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate clean. I had a lot of information from Leon. One of the staff. Next time will definitely choose this hotel.

Two of us stayed at this hotel two years ago. It was better back then in every way - rooms were cleaner and felt fresher, the service was friendlier etc. I had recommended this hotel to family. We returned to the hotel this weekend, together with relatives who also booked a stay. We stayed in a room for three adults on the 4th floor. It was an oddly configured layout but aside from that the AC units didn’t work - they kept shutting off during the night and then spluttering back to life loudly - so loud that we woke up multiple times in the night every time it restarted. Probably about 8 or 9 times during the night! One of the units was also malfunctioning to the point that it was spraying out a fine mist of water (sounds nicer than it was) so one of our bags On the floor beneath the unit it was damp the whole time until we realised. Our relatives on the 6th floor reported the same issues with their room plus a blocked bathroom sink. On check-out, the staff were perfectly pleasant but didn’t even ask how our stay was. The service this time around was generally lacking. Thankfully we only booked to stay two nights. I won’t return or recommend going forward.

Great hotel and services. Breakfast varities is great too. Shall stay here next trip to Sri Lanka.

I’m absolutely thrilled with my choice of accommodation in Colombo! The location is perfect—situated in a comfortable and safe area with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It’s also very close to the city center, making it super convenient. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. The rooms are excellent, well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. And the rooftop pool is simply amazing!

Really lovely helpful staff. The rooftop restaurant breakfast is excellent, so many choices! Room had very comfortable beds and was very clean. Elevator is always good. Wouldn't change a thing and are booked to come back before we leave.

We loved our little stay at Mandarina. However, the food (buffet breakfast) was below average. Service was snail paced, perhaps only for us. Pros: Location Cleanliness Cons: Food Delayed service

The rooms and service were very good and efficient. I was a little disappointed with the dinner buffet as  I felt the choice was limited.
