Ishq Colombo

An all-round perfect stay. On the occasion of my brother's wedding and at the end of a round trip, we chose the Ishq as our retreat from the hustle and bustle of Colombo. And it was in every respect. Excellent service and the feeling of being at home. One of the best places we stayed on our trip through Sri Lanka.

Simply the best house hotel in Sri Lanka. Butler Asanga was truly amazing, so warm, helpful and knowledgeable about Colombo. The house itself is beautiful and extremely well maintained. Walking distance to Bawa house. Extremely highly recommended to everyone visiting Colombo. 10 / 10 experience throughout

Ishq is a serene oasis in the heart of busy Colombo. The tranquil courtyard and garden are beautiful, offering a peaceful escape from the city. There's even a small pool for cooling off. We initially booked the pool suite but were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to the Master Suite 2, which turned out to be one of the most spacious and comfortable rooms we’ve ever stayed in. The bedroom, bathroom, and living area were beautifully furnished and exceptionally cozy. Breakfast was included, offering a wide selection of both Western and Sri Lankan options, and everything we tried was delicious. The standout feature of our stay, however, was the service - especially Ashan. All the staff were warm and accommodating, but Ashan’s attentiveness made our experience very special. From helping us with transport arrangements to accommodating our dietary needs, he went above and beyond. We wish we could have stayed longer and would highly recommend Ishq to anyone seeking comfort and exceptional service in Colombo!

Amazing place, small boutique hotel with only 4 rooms, luxurious and at the same time cozy, lots of art on the walls and the best cuisine we had in all of Sri Lanka. Special thank you goes out to Ashan, our host (every room has its own host!) who went above and beyond to make our stay even better.

Tastefully converted personal residence to a hotel . Quiet location in the heart of Colombo . Very comfortable bed and spacious room , imaccutaely clean shower and toilet .A journey into history . Beautiful drawings on the walls , comfortable , heritage building , with owners personal library , beautiful gardens ,a common room and pool . Asanga Perera and his team who looked after us , did a marvellous job . We arrived midnight , food order was taken a day before and was ready on arrival . Very tasty local cuisine . Attention to details were superb. Next time hopefully we would stay longer .

What an amazing oasis of tranquility in the heart of Colombo! The gates open to a beautiful building with a lush garden. The architecture alone is stunning. Our room was very generous in size and beautifully furnished. There are quiet areas for reading and relaxing. We enjoyed the cuisine which is catered to your tastes. Special thanks to Asanga who looked after us during our stay. We look forward to returning!

Absolutely stunning place to stay. We started our Sri Lanka trip here and what and excellent welcome gift it was. It is a small idyllic and quite hideaway in the hussle-bussle center of Colombo. The interior design is gorgeous and the room itself is spacious, really nicely designed and the bed extremely comfortable. Big shoutout to our friend and helper Ashan from the hotel. He helped us with so many things such as finding drivers, recommending places to eat out and organising massages. So kind and attentive. The Sri Lankan breakfast is highly recommended. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Just wow. This boutique hotel is jaw-dropping. It is a calm and tranquil oasis in the midst of a bustling city, and is just a few minutes walk to some of the best souvenir shops and restaurants in Colombo; including Barefoot Cafe and The Gallery (Paradise Road). Our personal host, Ashan, made sure that every detail is taken care of and made our trip extra special. We were provided a major upgrade from the Pool Suite to the Master Suite. We primarily chose to stay at Ishq to break our travel journey and have a 1 day rest in Colombo, but we wouldn't mind staying a bit longer in our next stay.

We had the most special stay at Ishq. The service was the best we have ever received, so much thought went into everything and the villa was extremely beautiful and comfortable. Asanga was an incredible host and looked after us very well. It was a stay to remember and we are so grateful to Asanga and the team for their hospitality.
