To start with the good points the location is very convenient near the Cathedral and train station and a busy shopping street with plenty of restaurants just at the corner but it was very quiet at night. Also the breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The main disadvantage is that the hotel seems very old so modern things like having outlets for charging in the room were very limited. Of course no air conditioning in summer is normal here but no fan was provided like at some other hotels, I assume because of the lack of outlets for power. The room is very small and has not been well maintained or updated but the bed was comfortable and the WiFi worked well. The tv has some international channels for news. For the price and location I would stay again but probably I would try somewhere else.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The receptionist was very lovely each time I spoke with them and the room was clean . The location is very convenient, in the city centre and close to the train station, you have lots of shops and restaurants near by It could definitely do with some improvements, it's quite old and there are many stains on the carpets. Overall a good experience, I would recommend

Centrally located, clean room, possibility to self check in, all instructions provided. Friendly and informative staff. 5 mins walk to Kölner Dom,Rail station. A lots of cafes and restaurants around. Very good value for money. Various breakfast items.

Not a luxury hotel, but it does its job. Cheap and centrally located.

Everything was fine. A little dated. Shower stuck against wall and was like a sauna.

Honnesly the room it's ok. The shower room is not wow! Need really take hard cleaner from up to down. But if u stay for one day and thinking don't need use than is ok. I mean need thinking is in Centrum have everything around and is cheap hotel. Other wize the concierge service is good. They will always help when u call them.

Simple hotel adjacent to main shopping area, 1 min walk from metro transport. 10 min walk from The Dome and Hauptbanhoff and the main tourist attractions. No frills, basic, simple, clean room, with basic toiletries provided, a lift available until 10pm (see notes) decent continental buffet breakfast, luggage storage available. Friendly helpful staff. Notes: Check in closes at 10pm, with no night staff so get there before 10pm, access after this time is by key card only and lift only available from 1st floor.. Hotel is on quiet streets and overlooking a square so some general noise from drinkers in the early evening and busy at lunchtime. Signage for hotel is minimal, it's a quirky building surrounded by private housing, so look out on the glass doors for the turquoise Centro logo, if you find the "night entrance door" walk round the corner to get to the main entrance again only denoted by a discrete sign on the door. Bring a travel kettle and mug if you want a decent cup of tea, the breakfast hot water/coffee maker was broken during my visit! (And they're not provided in rooms). Room served me well for 3 nights. Great location for seeing Cologne.

The checkin counter is not 24/7 open, which could be a problem because it’s so difficult to contact them and they don’t provide an email address. But indeed their price is low and location not so bad.

The location is good, but not clean. One to two days is okay but not more than that. Especially someone who has sensitive skin might be able to get issue.
