TRYP by Wyndham Koeln City Centre Hotel

The location was great, just behind the train station, the furniture was bit aged, but everything was clean. The staff were so kind and nice I They let us check in 4 hours before the check in time recommend this hotel

The location is excellent and the bed is also very comfortable.

less than 5 minutes walk from main station. The room is clean and tidy. The front desk can speak both Deutsch and English. The price is reasonable. Nothing to complain.

You get what you paid for. That’s it! But the reception staff at night (the elder one) was really welcoming and helping. He made our stay better than expected.

The location is perfect! We came by train from The Netherlands and it took us just 5 min by walking to go to the hotel. In our case we wanted to go everywhere by walking ,so to go to the cathedral was around 10 min and to go the chocolate museum was 35 min. About the room... is a 4 hotel stars so we expected something better honestly. We were in room 111 and i would say that the decoration is quite old fashion, the carpet was full of stains , quantity of amenities was really poor, the smell of the room was like housekeeping service didn't refresh for several days (humidity) ....Lack of attention to details unfortunately. The staff was so kind and friendly, they provided us useful information about the city and sourrandings, from this side everything was perfect. The lady who was at the evening (7pm more or less) on the front desk ,she.offered us a cup of coffee, so was really nice from her side. What i would say is if you want to stay there 1 or 2 nights is ok, but if you want to spend more days there in this type of room is better to book in other hotel, the rooms are not the same what you see on pictures and then the reality.

Nice location which is near cologne main station. Easy to access several restaurant and super markets. Reception is great and nice breakfast for a few bucks. Enjoy staying there.

The location was perfect, right next to the train station. I recommend going there for breakfast to save about 10 euros a day. The rooms were very old fashioned, the walls had dark marks on them and the carpet was one which you would not want to walk barefoot on. I felt a bit concerned for my privacy when using the shower as there is a massive window in the bathroom with no blinds or curtains to cover it. The window might not be completely transparent but I'd still like something extra for peace of mind. It was a bit strange to be given two single duvets for a double bed and a little annoying to find that every evening I had to make it again, rather than the housekeeping staff just either leaving it as it was or making it themselves. Unfortunately when I arrived at the hotel an hour and a bit before check in time, they apparently had a lack of storage space for bags so I was lucky to only have to take a backpack around Cologne, otherwise it could have been very challenging. I booked the hotel expecting 4 star standards but in reality it was decidedly average. I personally wouldn't stay here again but if you are looking for a reasonably priced centrally located hotel in Cologne you can't go too wrong.
