La Villa Hibiscus, Saint Martin

We enjoyed staying here. The location is nice, and very close to orient beach. It’s a very upscale vibe and you feel like you’re in a hidden oasis. The only mentions I would say to guests- 1. If you’re from the US you will need a conversion plug. There are only French outlets. They were kind enough to supply me with one for my stay, but had they not allowed me to use it, my phone had died so I would have been SOL. Also if you want to use any hot tools (flat iron/ curling iron/blow dryer you can’t even with the conversion plug. The blowdryer they provided the high was pretty powerful. As a professional in the hit industry I was very impressed with the hair dryer!!! I could curl or smooth it out though so my hair was a frizz ball most of the time haha 2. The rooms are open to the elements. The Bedroom is pretty closed off but the windows just have a wooden shade, so small insects were around. It wasn’t enough to drive me away but if there was even a crumb of food the ants would find it and be all over. So you do have to make sure to properly dispose of food and things. 3. The stairs are a little steep. You will have to carry your bags up stairs and if you’re up high it’s a little difficult. Don’t bring huge luggage bags to make things easier on yourself. However these things were not bothersome enough to take a star away, I would still say it was a very good 5 star experience here. The grounds were beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

The restaurant is overpriced for such a shockingly amount of disgusting combinations of food. Ice cream & crab? No thank you. We left hungry. The chef must think the more ingredients overcompensate for lack of talent. The silverware and plates were kind of cool, bumping the review up to 2 stars. Stay away, far far away.

The absolute best experience! From dining to the hospitality experience everything about this property was excellent. A beautiful french villa tucked away in Mont Vernon, come here to be transported to a dreamy & peaceful oasis. The chef prepares some of the best food I have ever had & hands down will be your best meal on the entire island. The staff couldn't be warmer & friendlier. This will be the ONLY place I stay when visiting St. Maarten.

We did not stay at this establishment, but we did eat dinner there. Arguably the best meal we have had on the island. We did a wine pairing and it was amazing. Atmosphere was wonderful and the staff are amazing. They are like family and so friendly. I have ate at restaurants all over the world that are five star. This one is definitely among the best. Looking at the property I would say it’s a great place to stay also.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed, the atmosphere is top notch. Now let’s get to the food. Hibiscus is a dining experience, the food is so unique, so tasteful and beautifully done. Your taste buds will dance with every course. The service is also phenomenal. Chef greeted us and asked about our meal, and invited us into his kitchen to observe the incredible talent behind the meal. Being foodies and in the food business, We enjoyed fine dining and local cuisine during our trip. Hibiscus took the prize all around. What an incredible experience. Hats off to all!!! Winner of St Martin's Festival de la Gastronomie this year! This is by far the best restaurant in St. Martin with excellent 3 star michelin type food. Chef Bastion is on great form and has 3 different tasting menus available for an amazing gastronomic dining experience. We prefer to go for the full dinner menu however have also visited for lunch and loved the 3 course menu ( on the website). Lovely venue and the staff are professional and attentive. All tables are great locations and there is 1 large table where you can see the kitchen in action. For a special unforgettable dining experience, don't miss this place.
