We enjoyed our stay here! The room were tidy, the food was great for the budget, and the also the alcohol thanks to Mehmet from the reception bar! The staff was very friendly the entire stay. The pool is also nice, not so busy. The only minus is the beach that is a little bit too far away from the hotel and there is no shuttle bus. The beach on its own is very nice, large with a lot of sun beds. Overall, is a nice experience at Sultan of Side, even if you are on a budget!!!🥰

We went to Sultan of Side for a week in August, just got back. There were 6 of us. We were the only English guests there. Full off Germans and Russians. Air-conditioning in one of the rooms was leaking. Bathrooms small and humid. My son had an upset stomach whilst there. Met a Czech couple and he had had a bad stomach for 3 days also. My friends son bit into his chicken and it wasn't cooked, completely pink inside. He too it back to show her and she just thew in the bin. Most of the staff are rude and unfriendly. Never experienced this in Turkey before. The odd one was friendly. Also most don't speak any English. The evening entertainment was good and the entertainment staff were very nice Would I go back. Absolutely not and I've never said that about a hotel in Turkey, having been about 8 times before I've never written a review before but felt I should in case English people are considering it We had a great holiday, but it wasn't because of this hotel and it's staff.

Went in August for a week with my 2 children 14&10. First night we arrived around 3am, were told to wait to the man at reception as he wanted to show me the room as it was special, plenty of staff around but only he wanted to take me. Found this quite intimidating as a woman. After 20 minutes I had enough waiting and told him my kids were tired from travelling and I just wanted to get into the room. He threw my passports back at me and someone showed me to the room. No balcony, no window and air con that wouldn’t turn off so the room was freezing! We slept as much as we could in trousers and jumpers! The toilet constantly ran all night very loudly. I went and was moved rooms in the moving, no one showed me the new room nor did they offer any help! My kids enjoyed the pools and the location was good for us however I urge any English guests to not attend! We were constantly asked if we were Russian or Dutch and when we replied English they walked off. My son tried to join in a game of football and was told twice no English allowed! We couldn’t book the indoor pool or spa was they didn’t understand. Russian only excursion help too! Food was okay, we aren’t fussy eaters though so was fine for us. Cherry on the cake was me trying to check in for my flight a day before leaving and noticing someone has stabbed my passport with a pen and there is pen marks all over photograph on my passport!! We didn’t take pens with us and it’s a brand new passport. It was a blue pen, exactly the same colour as what they make me sign forms with when you arrive!! When I asked the reception about this they laughed in my face as said sorry no English don’t understand!! Don’t waste your hard earned money going here.

What can I say , hotel not very clean , leaking shower and toilet , which there repair apparently was to lay a towel on the floor ???? Leaking air conditioning . Food not good at all for the English . In fact if your English you’re an alien . We were the only two English in the hotel . First room we got given was in the eaves of the hotel , poky , dark , no view , balcony for one only. Please check what room you are getting . The walk to this room was down a very dingy dark prison like walkway that took ten minutes from reception . Very depressing . Ok so they moved us . But room again ground floor , no view and dated . Staff were ok polite enough . But of course they didn’t understand mostly . There is no alacarte restaurant as advertised . But there is an area which they say can be the alacarte restaurant , but no one books ??? And if you do book it’s 10 euros each ??? States one free meal per week , not true . I don’t normally do all inclusive , but we thought we would for ease , quite honestly waste of money . Although we never had a good meal outside either . The best was McDonald’s . The beautiful old city of side is 15 euros taxi ride from Hotel . Beautiful place , shops expensive there though . Restaurants we used we found not great about 75 euros for two with drinks so not bad price wise . Weather in September 35 . About all it’s got going for it . Markets are rubbish . Fake goods are expensive, sellers very rude if you try and barter them down . We actually were told to leave a shop because we asked for a good price . Something about having to pay for air conditioning in the shop ?? All in all sultan of side is not the place to go , If you’re looking for quality over quantity . It’s not cheap 200 euros a night for family room I would give it no more than three stars and that’s being generous . And it advertised as five star .
