Liberty Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

The Liberty Hotel is an older hotel located in the old downtown Cleburne just a block away from the court house on the square. Although it still has the look and charm of a very upscale victorian hotel it has been updated with newer features. The breakfast is your typical waffles, cereal, bagels, etc. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. Bathrooms are the same with plenty of towels, soap and other toiletries. There usually are at least two complimentary bottles of water and a big, soft robe to sit back and relax. I absolutely love this hotel. My husband and I go there to just get away from the house. Not only is it close to antique shops, unique eating places, entertainment venues it is only 25 minutes away from the Brazos River and other interesting places. Whether it's for business or pleasure The Liberty Hotel is the place to stay when you're in Cleburne, Texas.

The Continental breakfast was less than desired. A lot was missing such a butter, coffee creamer, jelly was sitting is icey water. The hotel is charming and has a ton of potential. Carpet is notably in need of shampooing. Comforters were dirty. The covered parking across the street was pleasantly unexpected. The staff was great! I would cautiously stay again due to the location and charm.

Stay was OK The staff was friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the price was good, but the breakfast was lacking and the AC in the room left something to be desired. We went down for breakfast at 8:15 and the only things available were cereal, bread, or waffles, so we had to eat elsewhere. The AC in the room was loud and constantly turned on & off.
