There were some positive aspects to my stay. But I will not use them. When I left. some items, including prescription medicine were left behind. I take full responsibility for that. When I became aware of it at home, I immediately contacted the front desk. She said that housekeeping was gone for the day and to call back the next day. I did. The person I talked to promised to check and call back in 5 minutes. She did not. I called two hours later. She said she would check the room herself and call back. She did not. I called her an hour later. She said she had tried she had tried to call several times and received a message that the number was disconnected. I told her, obviously not since we were talking. By the way, if she wrote it down wrong, she could have checked her records, since I just checked out yesterday. She said she had checked the room personally and the property room and that nothing was there. I asked her what she thought happened, since the bag was packed in the room and not opened until Illinois. She ranted at me saying it was all my fault. I told her I accepted responsibility for leaving things, but that did eliminate the possibility of theft or carelessness by whoever cleaned the room on Friday after I left. I did not appreciate her yelling at me or accepting any other possibilities. For that reason, I will not stay at this place again. Find someone professionally trained in customer service to run the front desk. In addition I should add, I was not pleased. The hotel was not responsible for hoggish guests. But the upstairs patios and hallways were filled with cigarette butts and other trash. I made one desk clerk aware of the situation. I suggested more trash receptacles be made available and maybe signs posted to remind guests to be more considerate of other guests. he barely listened to me. Frankly, I don't know if their some of the front desk people give a damn about customer service or are just earning a paycheck.
