The Space Located on 66 acres of rolling farmland and wooded countryside, this restored log cabin - built circa 1855 - is rustic but not the least bit primitive. A massive stone fireplace makes relaxing in the winter cozy. Enjoy your morning coffee along with a beautiful view of Ohio farmland from the screened-in porch. Jump into the outdoor shower or hot tub after a day of hiking or shopping in nearby Yellow Springs. Centrally located, the Cabin is just 20 minutes from Dayton and 50 minutes from Columbus. This 19th century log cabin - original to the property - was dismantled and restored in 1989. Various updates over the years keep the Cabin fresh without compromising its rustic qualities. Guest Access The Cabin is located on a working hay farm and home to 40 head of American Bison. Guests may walk the property, enjoy the hot tub located a few yards from the Cabin and fish in the catch-and-release pond. There is a charcoal grill and charcoal provided for outside cooking, an outdoor shower, and a fire pit nearby is a fun place to roast marshmallows and tell stories. Two bicycles on site are available for guests who want to ride the Ohio to Erie bike trail, which is just a mile from the farm entrance. Other Things to Note The Cabin is a homey, comfortable place — nothing fussy, nothing untouchable.
